  1. Im in love , best color since Nassau . Z06 is Jetream blue , competition grey wheels and the 4LT linen wrap interior would be well beyond perfection .
  2. Was ? The Pontiac dealers here still have the nifty little market adj, on them . 2500 extra for base and 5K extra for GXP . Saturn sells for sticker . Its also the time of year where sales of a car like this I would think typically begin to die off a bit . I know Im close to snow tire shopping ...its not that far off
  3. Nice ....but bring the Vxr here damnit . I will swap out my Cobalt SS/SC in a second .
  4. Same thoughts . Its a nice , but not great . This body style is not that old , but its amazing how the new CTS makes it looks as such . The edgy new grill design , imo , is not meshing too well with the much softer STS styling . As far the interior goes , I used to think the STS's was quite nice . The new CTS really puts into perspective how boring and bland the STS interior is , even though the quality and materials look fantastic . The 1 new replacement for STS and the DTS could not come soon enuff imo .
  5. Its a photoshopped pic . In case you all havent realized , GM is the king of photoshopping in new options into old photos , and alot times ...even in dealer brochures , the ps'ed photos are a bit crude . Both the morroco brown and the plood are not that bad looking in person , or even it was a real pic . My Dad owns a 2007 Aura , and the door trim lines up perfectly with the dash trim . Heres all the original photos , which were already photoshopped studio photo's to begin with , released before the Aura even came out Here a pic of a newer studio pic , the door trim lines up perfect .
  6. As many HHR's as I see on a dailt basis compared to Scions I wouldnt doubt wether HHR outsells the entire Scion brand . Cool option I suppose . Its as simple as swapping this door for that door , so why not make it avail.
  7. I think the twinscrews are gonna have to come down in price and for the money their gonna command should be incorporated with a fresh design intake manifold ....the stock intake is a complete uneven flowing mess . They sound intoxicating , but ....there was a guy that swapped for Tag's turbo kit and made 401 wp on a stock engine @ 21psi . The latest company working on the twinscrew has not acheived 300 wp yet with higer boost levels . From all Ive heard , the 2.0T SS comes 2nd 1/4 2008 as a 09 model
  8. Ive had my SS/SC for 2 years now , the only thing I can honestly say it needs ....is a current day GM interior . With a modern day GM interior , I would put the Cobalt up to the top of its class .
  9. As it should be , the 99-04 Jetta was the actual interior benchmark . After having my SS for a couple years , they get a A+ on the actual design , I still love it . But , they get a D- on material usage . 99-04 Jetta interior
  10. I adapted a 2007 radio in my 05 Cobalt , I thought the simple plug in was pretty convienient and easy . But , this new adapter addresses both complaints I have with mine ...which is charging while plugged in , and the current way doesnt display the ipod info on the radio screen . Way to go GM , this is awesome .
  11. Ive seen a couple computer generated pics and it looks very similar to Jetstream blue and Opel Arden blue , but those computr images dont represent the colors well at all . I was wondering if anyone has seen this color in person or pics of it ? Hopefully wised up and gave the US eye popping Opel Arden blue with a new name .
  12. I think GM is going about the hybrid thing all wrong ( I know they have better stuff coming ) These semi-hybrids , IMO anyways ...are like near beer .....not that desireable .
  13. Saturn needs this car now , not the next gen . The Corsa would probably one if not the best of the mini cars in the US . IT defintely looks worlds better than the fit , versa , yaris or aveo .
  14. Jep ......theres enuff modified Cobalt SS's out there now , that GM could go 100% under the radar testing in a existing test car . The way its looking , the MCE got cancelled as far as I can tell . So the 08-09 would be the current body anyways . Not unless the 2008 regular Cobalts are just a real short run , and the MCE version comes out as 09's in the spring with the new SS version .
  15. Actually in real cars , GM's stage 2 kits makes more than 240 to the wheels . 210-220hp / 190-200 lb/ft are common stock power #'s to the wheels . GM underrated the LSj so much in the SS and Redline , so when the ratings for the staged kits came out it seemed like they based their power gain off the false factory 205/200 rating . Hell I dunno I honestly dont think the 2.0T SS will be thaaaaaaat much faster than the SC car in stock form . Given the fact the 2.0t is not underrated and the average real world hp at the crank for the SC SS's and Redlines were realistically 250-260 hp ( GM claims a 17% driveline loss on the SS ) . I know they are upping the strength of the Axles , but I bet there will still be rather intrusive torque management program to control wheel spin and wheel hop .
  16. XM has stated that current subscribers will not have to do anything . The new format should be completely phased in by June/July and all u have to do is nothing . Cant get easier than that I would hope this guy suing GM gets no where . In theory , it would open the door for the day the analog TV no longer works . Are we gonna sue the electronics companies when that day comes too ?
  17. AFAIK GM only has 1 FWD 6-speed box to go around , the f40 used in Saabs and the G6 in the states .
  18. There are already several modded supercharged Cobalts that are approching that power level to the wheels . Chevy did their homework on the chassis , torque steer is pretty non-existent .....our one big problem is wheel hop . Thats easily correctable with uretane engine and trans mounts and torque brace . If chevy ends up close to 300 , I would hope they'd make the limited slip diff standard and choose a better stock summer tire than the Pirelli Rosso's . 300hp and a open difff would just not work well at all It looks like the SS may have a 5 speed auto as an option too , via the HHR SS . I know alot of people who didnt buy a supercharged SS because they couldnt get a auto . For me , bring on that 6 gear ....and auto would destroy the personality of this car .
  19. The Blue is a different shade of dark blue so the paint code changed , so they need to make light of that . The Black mist and Red Jewel tintcoat are 3-stage paints .....Berry red and Black Oynx were not . Hence the extra cost for those 2 colors now . The black mist should be pretty damn cool . Red Jewel tintcoat I do belive is the dark red color on the current model year Lucrerne/DTS/Corvette ...in the sun this color is amazing , it just glows .
  20. There will be some happy Saturn fans . I worked for Saturn for 4 years , and we sold a fair amount L-series wagons , and thats all those people wanted was the wagon . Im so happy the Opel connection is in full motion now
  21. While I wouldnt be buying one , I think this a absolutely gorgeous car . This car , along with the Enclave would SERIOUSLY elevate the perception of the Buick in the US imo . An to tell ya the truth , even its traditional older customer base would likely prefer the RWD over anything Buick has now in the the US .
  22. Cool , this one will be fun to draw .
  23. Thanks for the votes from everyone :)
  24. Priced right , that car would do insanely well over here in the states . Its not got the Qwirky looks of the Fit or Versa and neither of those have a performance version . Saturn did say they would like to bring this car here too , so who knows ...maybe itll happen within a couple years .
