  1. I find it really interesting that GM is only worth about a third of what Toyota is worth in terms of market value.
  2. Getting the newer 8 speed Transmission has been huge. Current Wrangler drives like it was built on a different planet than the 2007. The ten speed in the Ranger is really nice... would love to try the ten speed in the Turbo diesel Balthazar is looking at. https://youtu.be/bRWIqrmiTN0https://youtu.be/bRWIqrmiTN0 https://youtu.be/bRWIqrmiTN0 Youtube video is about Central African Republic. Interested in Western Africa and it's many issues. But the country is so effed up cannibalism is a problem as is child rape. I am disappointed in a huge number of things about our country but there are times it is damn fine to be an American citizen.
  3. Were I to buy diesel it would be GM all the way. RAM and Jeep have had lots of trouble with diesel light truck motors. Co worker blew six turbo chargers in sixty thousand miles and had electronic glitches that would make a Jaguar or BMW blush. He traded it in a V6 crew cab RAM and has had zero issues out of the V6. Shame because I would love a diesel Gladiator. Plus I am with Blu on finding the Current GM trucks attractive. Thier current selection of vehicles is fairly well sorted but in 2007 most of the lineup was a train Wreck. IIRC they actually built a two wheel drive Wrangler in 2007...and all Wranglers came with a 3.8 V6 from the minivan that was under powered and thirsty in that application.
  4. Olds Vista wagon
  5. Hot... entirely hot. Then order it...we need some fresh Iron in the C and G fleet.
  6. About two hours of watching water run and breaking dishes is what I recall. Funny story about that movie...we were building a movie theater when it came out. Was the first actual film shown in the theater....I arranged to get off work early to watch the first film shown...Got off work...had already bought my ticket...clocked out at 11:30...dumped my tool belt in my Chevy truck...at 11:35 was eating popcorn in my seat watching the start of the movie.
  7. Since this will have high intial depreciation, I am thinking this might be a driveway mate for the Ranger in 3 or 4 years. CPO would be the way to go. I do think the performance of this will win some people over, and I am warming up to the looks.
  8. Empress of Ireland
  9. I love the CJ-7.
  10. Even in a big city I shop independant hardware stores and small family owned restaurants and businesses. And I live on the edge of Columbus.... OK, so I bought this ICE toy for myself as an early Christmas present...ICE isn't all bad... Stihl MS 250. Sorry the shop is messy but I have been busy.
  11. Not a joke, but funny...
  12. I thought all 4.3's were iron block....I could be wrong.
  13. I am not sure. Do think confirmation bias is common in our discussions here, a good video on how to get away from it.
  14. Yeah. a lot of places I hung out at as a teen ahve seriously gone to seed.... Hey Balthazar...your wife wants a boat apparently....you have an older GM Diesel....get the best of both worlds...
  15. I miss America being unique from town to town and place to place. Was much more so when i was a boy in the 60's and 70's. This is infinitely preferable to the endless strip malls and chain resteraunts of suburbia that we seem to be currently afflicted with.
  16. Row, Row, Row your boat...
  17. Funny actual toumbstone...
  18. Agreed. IF they built EV pickup Trucks will they be rolling Volts?
  19. This was surprisingly good, thanks for posting it.
  20. Salmon
  21. I love how purposeful and simple this looks. I prefer trucks and off road vehicles to have a simple work truck/down to buisiness vibe.
