  1. Knock on wood the ecoboost 4 in my Ranger is doing fantastic. Neighbors Ecoboost V6 is like 180,000 trouble free miles in his F150, its a 2011 or 2012, so about ten years old. technology can be good when it is sorted and vetted. That being said, 3800 V6 is one of the best motors GM ever came out with... A thing of beauty... Looks like what passed thorugh my intestines and colon after I ate some not so good mexican food. The CT5 has really grown on me, especially in that color, that looks fantastic. Stuff like this is why I buy woodworking tools and audio equipment rather than emotionally or financially investing in a lot of modern cars. We ought to road trip together some time. I think it would be a blast!
  2. This is amazing
  3. I loved seeing those on the NASCAR ciurcuit. Fantastic motors. They had trouble killing them sometimes with cash for clunkers. Happier times at FOMOCO.
  4. Or just dump in a Coyote V8 from a Shelby Mustang into that retro Thunderbird...that's what I'm thinbking would be hot!
  5. Mr King is correct....
  6. Seems like a fair deal to me... This makes sense...
  7. Creative mom...
  8. Ya gotta wonder what the eff people in the middle ages were thinking with the original art work here... This is brilliant... Creative comic... Believe in yourself...
  9. I thought of you yesterday also. Saw an electric motorcycle that had been ridden a long ways to a marina my wife and I hiked to. When the rider walked up and rode off....he would make us both look small. I think the EV range anxiety thing is over with. In all seriousness it was cool seeing an EV bike out in the wild. Greece is beautiful, I really want to go. All of the Greek (meaning from Greece, not from a fraternity) students here on campus are awesome. maybe I can be an honorary Greek for a week... If TC Bob were a cat...
  10. Anything I say about the lady will get me permanantly banned by Drew so....Fried Chicken. I had Popeyes Fried Chicken for lunch. side of mashed potatoes, side of Mac and Cheese. 5 piece Tenders, spicy. Although Hot Chicken Takeover is a locally owned fried chicken place with much better food. Drew, thanks for not banning me for my thought crimes against this woman. Regards, Christopher/Horse/Stang/Proud Ranger Owner.... Funny, I just ate at a new mediteranian restauraunt and thought of you.
  11. Vette on the right...happy weekend, everyone.
  12. Vintage slot car picture, cool! Neat old Ford picture. Another cool vintage pic....
  13. Kpop band, 5 members jsut tested positive for Covid. Five members of the K-pop group Enhypen test positive for the coronavirus. It's getting scary. Co workers wife was feeling sick last Thursday, healthy late thirties. She died two days alter on Saturday of Covid. Another co workers brother is probably not going to make it. Neat old pic of Lady Diana... Vintage pic of petty at Darlington.... Fantastic Mustang picture... A first Gen Camaro competes a SPA
  14. Innocent and funny! Christmas Display....
  15. Video games.... Smart Birds...
  16. More love from that Era.
  17. Pontiac! I love this because it's a like Pontiacs were back in the day, just cars to cruise in and have fun. Not everything needs to be a Red GTO.
  18. I have started paying attention to these, and there are a bunch of different variations of these products....and their owners. This is not aimed at TC Bob, but just here because it is funny. Have a good Friday everyone. It should still work great. keep spinning vinyl the music is what matters. Besides, you will need an External pre amp with the RT-85, won't need one with the 81. I am not saying that every Challenger around here is driven responsibly, just that a bunch are. I prefer Planet of the Apes, where the Apes take over. Time to give Darwin/Evolution a second shot at getting our species right.
  19. I am married to the Frugal queen. When my (former) isnurance company refused to cover wind damage on our roof and I was concerned about dropping ten grand on the replacement, my wife was like....we'll just pull that out of accesable savings. I am brewing my own coffee at work to be able to spend more money on Vinyl and road trips, which is not a bad thing. Human stupidity in every way ha sreached an all time low. Love the Trans AM.
  20. Just upgrade the cartride and platter, its the same turntable. My younger son tells me hiking permits for ST helens are restricted and go quickly, would love to hike it. Actually, around here a bunch are respectfully driven. And since or own TC Bob loves the Cahrger in White, I think of him frequently when I see a Charger or Challenger.
  21. As do I. I have kind of moved on in my car love though. right now. Sport compacts (WRX, Civic Type R, golf R) Would really like something small 4 door and all wheel drive. My older son's girlfriend has both a Type R and a WRX STI, so I guess that itch is satisfied by having those cars "in the family." Other itch is pickup, vintage pickup truck, Jeep, Bronco, 4 wheel drive full size truck. Current Ranger scratches 95% of that itch at the moment, as I have a ton of other things going on in my life. Only occasionally do I look back into the past anymore, so I am kind of the opposite of Baltazar in that way. My ideal garage right now would be nothing more than my current Truck, and time to enjoy it and explore new horizons.
  22. It takes real creativity to make a good sounding system with inexpensive gear. it's a matter of synergy. Lots of expensive systems sound like crap. Video was pretty good actually, I thought.
