The Rabbit has some nice fit and finish but the Audi 5 Cyl they use in it has piss-poor fuel economy and the electronics in them just suck ass to no end. Chris

Actually the Corvair was a brilliant design also. Methinks if I am not wrong that the last Corvair built is Gold with a black top and in private hands...one of the last GM cars where the last one built is in private hands. Seems to me like I saw it advertised in hemmings awhile back. Any info? Chris

Fly: So are you running bias ply tires or radials on that thing? Seems to me some of the older Iron rode better on Bias Ply, but that probably came from the factory with radials, right? Chris

Problem with the Fiero is that you have to get the last year of prod. to get the suspension goodies and the V-6. Later Firebirds, the 77-78 was an under-appreciated design. Chris

I love, love love the old stuff but I was born in 65. I've been literally looking at the old stuff my whole life. Just really excited that Pontiac seems to be on the right track. In major lust over a red 69 Firebird that is parked regularly where my wife works, so don't worry, I haven't loost my mind. Chris

The C-4 is an under rated car, though. A pain in the arse to get into and out of, but a sweet ride none the less. Chris

I agree with sixty eight, would look good on a street rod. Kind of reminds me of Ford's Grabber Blue from 1970 (think Boss 302). But it does not look good on the Cobalt. Chris

Why am I such a dumbass? (I know plenty of you have probably asked that question, but...) I must be because I think the Solstice is probably one of the best looking cars of the 21st century and probably one of the best looking cars from Pontiac ever. I must just be missing something here, but I seem to be the only one posting here who just loves the Solstice. Somebody please tell me what I am missing. Chris

...and Sixty Eight, you'd really buy a BENZ? I've known so many of those cars to have problems...and I'd rather crush and Audi than drive one. I probably hate a lot of European cars as badly as you hate Japanese cars. Maybe we can just agree to hate Korean cars and agree on that. I am with you on the BMW thing though. Were it to be a non-GM car, my choice would be a New Cooper S coup with a six speed and a sunroof delete. If it were not a Miata. Chris

The problem is that there is no good objective journalism out there when it comes to evaluating vehicles. I trust Grassroots Motorsports somewhat as well as Road and Track to an extent, but the rest of those arch idiots...no. Chris
