  1. My Grandfather always bought Studebakers and my dad's first car was a 50 Studebaker coupe. My other grandfather had a really cool 54 Hudson Hornet. The CJ7 is one of the greatest American Automotive designs. I remember the AMC wagons my neighbors had when I was a kid. Suddenly I feel very sad and very nostalgic about old American cars. Chris
  2. Interesting that in the poll 82 percent say that Toyota builds a better car. Chris
  3. ...and Chrysler needs to seriously crush the prototype before anyone else gets any stupid ideas. Chris
  4. Thinking like this is probably why I'll never own another Chrysler vehicle. Ever. Also why I am anti-union. I hope the shut the Goddamn plant down. Chris
  5. +1 on the HydraMatic. Chris
  6. Actually I stand corrected. Re-reading the article it just says that the IRL pace cars were destroyed, not the actual 500 pace car. Still seems silly. Chris
  7. Odd that they would Crush the Aurora pace cars Also at Schramms. I would think with as famous as the 500 is that the Aurora that paced wouldbe a valuable part of G.M. heritage and be treated as such... Or Not, I guess. Chris
  8. Still sad to see that olds die that way... Chris
  9. Pricing due to import taxes must make a real difference though. The car is 31,000 pounds, or about 63k u.s. I wouldn't pay 63k for an H3 Either. Chris
  10. They really don't build a singe car that I like the styling of, so, to answer the question in the o.p., What do you think of Chrysler Styling? Not much, actually. Chris
  11. ...a kia won best Minivan? You gotta be kidding.
  12. Alas people are afraid of thinking...being P.C. means that you don't have to think. Chris
  13. ....man that would be awesome! Chris
  14. Not to mention the prototype cars and the defective cars that are crushed. Chris
  15. With a Mini we know that he isn't compensating for anything with the size of his automobile... Chris
  16. The Mini Cooper S is near the top of my automotive lust chart at the moment. That being said, it is probably the least reliable car in the test. That should be noted. Also, G.M. gives great support to the Ecotech. The Cobalt can be hopped up pretty easily, something that shoudl weigh in its favor that usually does not. Chris
  17. I feel your pain brother. Here in Ohio our economy is in the $h!ter because of this kind of thinking. Chris
  18. It makes me want to work that much harder to elect good people in 2008. Chris
  19. Actually my Chryser Concorde got about 26-28 in mostly highway driving. Chris
  20. Again, I think that the economy will come into play. I would be very interested at seeing how the Fit does. I would guess that it would take off in sales when the weather breaks. Chris
  21. Again, a huge part of the problem is the economy. It is still much weaker than people give it dredit for. Chris
  22. The wrangler 4 dr is an amazing product. Not an SUV fan but I wouldn't mind owning one. Chris
  23. The big issue will be how stout the new powertrains are. The older Brazilian powertrains were not the best. The Mini needs to stay a simple lower priced car IMHO. AWD on it is just Arch Idiot Stupid. But a Clubman would be kinda cool. Chris
  24. You are right about the rear of the Edge, but the front is hideous. Also, I don't like the Murano Interior either. Of the two the Murano is the much easier fix. Chris
