Odd Corvette Trivia
In the late 70's they Bult one car one year (77 I think in Corvette chartreuse, in about 1980 they built one in light metallic blue, and in 2002 0r 2003 they built one in purple as a reward for aplant employee. Chris

Tulsa Plymouth Sunk?
Storing it with a vault that was drained might have solved a lot of the problems also. Hopefull but probably junk. Chris

Chrysler admits Sebring, Nitro are duds
Let's not forget that the Malibu is just plain better put together also. I'd much rather live with a 3 year old 50,000 mile Malibu than a 3 year old 50,000 mile Sebring. Chris

Accord Interior Shot
Not impressed. I liked the Accords much better in the 80's and 90's when they were more simple and straitforward. ...and yes, Brian the Civic is much nicer by comparison. Chris

May 2007 Sales: General Motors
Let's say a prayer to Thor or Zeus or whomever that the Astra sells well also. With the price of gas Gm will need to get into this section of the market. Chris

Need Gm trivia Help
I would like to learn about as many GM "high performance" and "oddball" special cars as possible. For instance, the 66 W-30 tripower Cutlass, a very rare bird. GM even built one that was turquoise with a yellow vynal top and a red interior so that it would show up well on the dragstrip. Olds Achieva SCX, rare, rare bird, like the Neon ACR but much, much rarer. Or the "Heavy Chevy" 71 Chevelle. Or any of the other quad 4 specials. Or the "Anniversary Olds" that was build for olds 50th anniversay in very limited numbers in the 1950's. Or the first OHV pontiac V8's. Or... But I am having trouble finding info. Library searches are reaching dead ends. I read Automotive Quarterly and Hemmings but they are only so-so at being helpful. Does anyone have any ideas? Chris

JD Power 2007 IQS
When you build cars that last 90 days your problem level at 6 months is real low. I can't imagine buying a Kia. I would rather have the Renault that Fly posted photo's of in the other thread. Every time I gas up I try to ask the person gasing up next to me..."Hey, your driving a _____. How do you like it?" I have yet to meet a happy Kia owner. They are absolute utter unimaginably $h!ty, $h!ty cars. Chris

JD Power 2007 IQS
Exactly. In long term dependability I would bet serious cash that damned near any GM vehicle (Astrovan, Cavalier, Aztec, whatever you want to keep in the mix-keep them all in the mix) is probably more reliable than anything from Europe and equal to or better anything from Korea. Probably better. Long term wise I am really interested to see where the newest generation of GM cars stack up. Chris

Car Spotter check: What 'econoboxes' have you been seeing on the road
The Durango sounds like it might make a nice trade in on a Colorado Crew Cab. The Colorado will get close to the original beatle in fuel economy and be infinitely better in terms of safety, reliability, comfort, hauling capacity, emissions/damage to the environment, ride quality, etc. I'm all for small cars, but this is going a little too far. Besides, the Bug could be a good donor for a Manx buggy for a summer car.... Chris

To all the newest members...
Welcome, and I hope you enjoy it here. Unlike the Mustang forums that seem to be over-run with people who are dumber than my cat, there are some really intelligent people here. Now let's get back to all the good BS about GM. Chris

New Scion xB, xD pictures
Exactly...if it makes you feel any better my wife loves our xB, but right now she is lusting after an HHR. Which in a lot of ways is a better vehicle-smoother ride, better highway manners, cool retro styling, Onstar, etc. While I own a Scion I like the direction that Saturn is taking much better than Scion. Saturn has allowed itself to be re-defined because the market has been re-defined. Scion meanwhile has painted itself into a corner as a "youth market" brand. If I was to be asked which was goping to be around as a car company in fifteen years I would put money on Saturn being here and Scion being gone, Chris

JD Power 2007 IQS
Actually I am suprised Mazda scores so low. What is more telling is to go drive cars that are 5 years old/100,000 miles. G.M. products hold up better than a lot of other cars. Chris

New Scion xB, xD pictures
This is to the original xB what the MustangII was to the original Mustang. I own an xB (first gen) and don't like the second gen. At all. Chris
