  3. Everybody's copying VW's antenna design these days, I see. Where are the wheels? Is this the long-awaited hover car we've been promised since the 50's?

    RECALLED

Yup, the Colorado has been recalled for a potentially faulty brake light switch at the pedal. I got the letter yesterday. Affected vehicles will either have inoperative brake lights, or "always on" brake lights. Cruise control will also be inoperative because the circuit runs through that switch. I haven't had a problem with my truck, but I'll still take it in to have it done. It will be 3 years old end of next month, it's a first-year model and this is the first recall notice I've gotten for it. I'd say that's not a bad record, comparatively. I can only hope the new truck is as good. And thanks again, Mr. Fly, for the heads up a while back.
  9. The thing of it is, that voice is very familiar. When I lived in Maryland, that voice and that theme music was all over the TV selling cars, or at least something eerily close to it.

  11. Well, it's cuter than a Freestar I guess. My biggest present probably won't be here until the end of January, thereabouts. Love those rims on there, Northstar.
  12. How do you think he keeps his complection so creamy smooth? And that's not hair gel. But seriously, I was at a family/friends of family function yesterday and some chick was eyeing me the whole time, talking me up and stuff. What should I have done? I think I may have played along somewhat. God, I need some contact.
  13. The kind of bandaid engineering Honda did to the Fit to make it meet U.S. crash standards should scare potential buyers. The Corsa is a hot little bug and should make a fun, classy entry level car for Saturn.

    Taking a step

Well, the salesguy could only give me the standard "6 to 8 weeks" line, which is what I expected, but he says he will keep me informed each time GM sends an update on the progress. Thanks again.

  17. Yeah, those odd fans make me think it's aircooled, but I am clueless. I've always refused to Google these questions, anybody can do that. I just do not know, homes. Was the Tucker a V8? The photo is fooling me, it looks old.
  18. Off the top of my head, the top left looks like a BMW inline six, from a 3 or 5 series. The top right looks like the engine in my truck (can't tell if it the Atlas 5 or 6, looks short though.). The bottom right... Cadillac V16? And the bottom left... I have no idear... some sort of strange V8 from the looks of it.

  20. I think Camino wants somebody to mention the very last Firehawk ever made. :AH-HA_wink:
  21. I actually like the green one, it conjures up images of rugged guys in the bushes fighting guerrilla warfare with the carmakers, using their camera as their weapon of choice.
  22. The commercial, hilarious, but I find it a bit disturbing that the cars and trucks therein are GMs, especially when they talk about them breaking down.

  24. Notice I said "look" like fine black velvet, not "feel", ahem.
  25. The HDs have heavier running gear, big radiators and auxiliary trans coolers. You should be good. Planning on some big meats, maybe a lift kit?
