  1. Ran across this on a Honda U.K. preview site. Doesn't look too bad, imo, although I wish a 2-door hatch were coming as well. I think the coupe looks too weird in a lot of areas. Click on it to make it big enough to study. Hopefully it is not a photoshop.
  2. Well son I've been sniping about electric cars since 1942 on this site and I get called out and made fun of every time I do. To the point of being warned and barred from posting at a site I pay to visit unless I "acknowledged" the warning. So cool your jets and better luck next time with the Ford truck thing.
  3. Well perhaps this little beauty might interest you. Behold the Spark RS Concept... what is stopping Chevy from building it with the new 1.4T with 153 hp? JUST WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR!
  4. Well it has a new design 1.4L Ecotec with 98 hp and 94 ft/lbs torque in a car that weighs 2248 lbs. Plus it is stuffed with all the features a minicar intender might want. And instead of space alien style like the first-gen, it has a very buttoned-down, mature appearance inside and out. Check the feature list against the Fiesta, which is growing long in the tooth with no replacement in sight. GM should be commended for remaking the car so soon and packing it with so many improvements. Plus the starting price is still only $12,660. Compare to the 2016 Fiesta S hatch, which has a 1.6L engine with 120 hp and 112 ft/lbs torque in a car that weighs 2537 pounds. The Fiesta weighs about 300 pounds more than the Spark, because the Fiesta has no added lightness, at a price of $15,265. Then if you go to the 1.0L Ecoboost Fiesta, the cheapest one is $17,240 after rebate, because you are required to move up to the SE trim. The $17,240 price after factory discount includes the $995 price of the Ecoboost package. PLUS the 1.0L Ecoboost requires 93 octane fuel, which has been the bane of the Ecoboost's existence since Ford came out with them in 1971 (the Ecoboost is a VERY OLD engine configuration, and we cannot hold that against it when comparing it to a given GM product.)
  5. This is on my list of "most improved vehicles of 2016". "My" build is $17,060 for a 2LT manual. So much more mature this time around and a real nice little buggy! Click to make it bigger!
  6. Actually, it can and does. But thanks for your opinion. No problemo. Glad to be in a position to help.
  7. Ford's efforts have been proven irrelevant. How many billions were spent to engineer an aluminum truck and twin-turbo engines that CANNOT BEAT the traditional, honest and true high-strength steel, smallblock V8-powered Sierra and Silverado? This is a laughable situation... the fact that with all that super duper CRAP, Ford cannot leapfrog GM in ANY important metric of performance!
  8. Think about this: comparable or BETTER fuel mileage in a steel bodied honkin' V8 pickup truck packed with features VS. the aluminum bodied, twin turbocharged six cylinder competition. Ford looks like the BIGGEST FOOL right now. I mean seriously... all that investment in silly bodywork and complicated TWIN TURBOCHARGED engines, and what do they have to show for it? Not a damn thing that MATTERS.
  9. Enough of the meandering BS. Truck Trend has chosen the 2016 Sierra Denali 1500 as their Pickup Truck Of The Year. That is what we need to focus on in this thread.
  10. You're hooked up to the local Taco Bell? Lots of wind propellant coming out of there, *whew*
  11. The 'debate' is an on-again, off-again feature of C&G that similarly plagues the entire 'autosphere' which is filled to the brim with pseudo-engineers who genuinely believe that DOHC and OHV methodologies are in competition, thus reducing each engine's application into a one-upmanship game. But what else can we expect from unscrubbed plebs who don't own Tesla's? Merry Christmas. *Teslas

  13. This is how vehicular electrification is done when professionals get involved. When bitching about price, remember this is the Premier model, plus you're getting a tax credit.

    Continental Uncovered

  15. Clapped-out first-gen 1970's Fiesta, bright yellow with a few rust "waterfalls" in various spots, wearing Escort GT alloys. Now THAT is automotive dedication... or mental instability. In the K-Mart parking lot.
  16. Buick really needs a car above the LaCrosse. I agree with that, and it should be RWD.
  17. There are only 30 days contained in June.

    Continental Uncovered

Well then, if Lincoln is clarifying that this Continental is only a "stopgap flagship" like GM did with the XTS, then I will back off. The D6 car must take the Continental name at that point, or be called Town Car.
  19. The sub-atomic rhythm reaches in and grabs hold.
  20. Second floor, hardware, childrens wear, ladies lingerie Oh,Good morning Mr. Tyler Going down? LOL Totally not the reference I was making. We'll see if anyone gets it. I'm sure someone will... my bet is on Moltar. Dude it's Are You Being Served.
  21. Love an old-skool French automobile. TWENTY-ONE FEET of suspension travel at each wheel! That is what makes them the best riding cars on the planet. (disclaimer: personal experience speaking. my mom had an '81 LeCar and it was astonishing how smooth the ride was, and the body roll! it sure was an entertaining little car.) I am guessing modern French cars have done away with such endearing eccentricities. I find this shameful.
  22. Giant wheels are the Antichrist.

    Continental Uncovered

See, that is what makes me hopeful about the return of the Lincoln Continental. Hair is still turning blue. Not everyone wants a 'Bahnburner. Hello Cadillac?
  24. So you're dreaming of a big black one then?
