  1. Love the new squared-off look, harks back to Golf Mk I without being retro.
  2. YES IT WOULD MR. DFELT
  3. That new Impala is gorgeous. I really like the XTS, too, I sawr a black XTS4 while I was looking at the Sonics, with the yellow leather interior... beautiful!
  4. My next vehicle I will try to keep at least until the 2015 Colorado/Canyon come out... and even then, I'm not sure I'll like these new pickups. If they come here with the international nose (I REALLY hope it gets a junior Silverado nose), the Chevy is out... and no one has seen the GMC yet. I know some dreamers have rendered it, but who knows? My commute speaks louder to me right now than my love of pickup trucks. I've come closer to deciding on the Sonic RS in white with stickshift and sunroof.
  5. Check out those Chevy 2500HD aluminum rims.
  6. Agree on both counts... Trax and EcoSport. The way Ford has packaged the options on the Focus for 2013 is a bit maddening. To get 17" wheels and foglights, one also has to buy leather seats and whatnot. But the leather seats are not heated, BUT, there's a "Winter Package" available with seat heaters and heated mirror glasses. Drives the price of the Focus upward, this bundling. Leather seats are too cold on the butt in winter without heaters, imo. Sonic RS comes with heated leather and suede seats, no hassle. On the Sonic LT, Chevy sort of does the same thing. "Wheels and Foglight" package is available... with upgraded 16" alloys and foglights... BUT it is not available with the 1.4t... one has to take the 1.8 to order it.
  7. Yeah, the ones I'm looking at have the Appearance Package (I like the wheels and the foglights)... but you also have to buy the Winter Package to get heating elements in those leather seats.
  8. How do you like my spoon though?
  9. Tan Encore AWD Convenience: $27.8k. Black Encore FWD Leather: $28k +. I couldn't get photos of their stickers due to glare.
  10. Hmm... one of my pictures got in there twice. Was supposed to be a red Encore with chrome whills.
  11. Money is being spent in the wrong places, that much we agree on. I'm sure Canada is far worse off than we are down here.
  12. "Left behind"? How so? If people don't want this crap... why spend a dollar of public money... taxpayer money, on a boondoggle? Makes no sense. We saw dfelt's photos of the charging stations going unused in Washington state. If private companies want to lose their asses on a pie-in-the-sky project such as this, let them. But I don't want to pay for it.
  13. PICTURES?
  14. You guys love to compare me to things. I just do not see the joy in EVs manifested among the general public. And I am not alone. Some people smarter than you agree with me.
  15. See I see this infrastructure project stalling.
  16. So I went over to York, PA today to study some vehicles. The Buick, while cool as heck, is just too expensive at this point in my life. The Fords are very nice, all SE manual hatches ranging from $23-$25k (crappy pinstripes would be off like a prom dress immediately though). The Sonic RS is $21.8k but red is not my color (although it looks very good in red). Please give opinions if you wish. http--,,--//
  17. Thanks for the information. I went to York, PA today to look at some of these, they have several manual SE hatches in various states of MSRP. I've been reading Edmunds owner reviews, and they pretty much lambast the manumatic trans (wouldn't be a problem for me). There are also several mentions of rattles on early reviews. But they universally praise its driving characteristics and nice interior.
  18. Sigh, you really think a Spark is a car with on porpoise?
  19. Spark RS in the vein of Sonic RS sounds cool. If only 3-door cars were legal in the USA. I cannot believe Obama signed that lawr.
  20. Cruze RS already exists... it consists of foglights, ground effects kit, and RS emblems. Um... yay?
  21. That's wut I'm thinkin'. GM is stuck in a rut again, regarding any sort of plethora of fun. They are in a box, and remain so at their own peril.
  22. Hey. How's your Focus running? Had any warranty issues? Any issues with user friendliness? How's the fuel mileage? General observations? Dealer in town I work in has quite a few SE hatches with manual transmission available for perusal.
