  1. Nah, I like the green better than white.
  2. Traveled 203.9 miles, put in 7.9 gallons. Figgers up to 25.8 mpg, exceeding the 23 mpg EPA rating by a decent margin.
  3. I hit 2k miles yesterday on its first relatively long trip, a 200 mile hop to Easton, MD and back, to tend to my grandparents' gravesite. I'm happy with this thing, despite its blocky body, no wind noise to report, it's a quiet highway cruiser. My cheeks felt no pain at any time. And fuel usage was very fair. I am going to refill it this morning and post the results.
  4. Hopefully you sold it and paid off the loan with a little left over and did not allow the bank take it back. The worst part of this post is not the Challenger Disaster, but the decision not to return to school. I really hope that is a temporary situation. Is there a minibus anywhere that can be hopped to get you there? Giving up is not an option!
  5. Silver Datsun X-Trail with stuff on the roof rack and indeterminate license plates. How it got in northern Maryland is anyone's guess.
  6. Actually pretty cool. I can see this selling to upscale caterers and surfers (although the board will have to go on a roof rack, no doubt).
  7. '63-'67 Corvette roadster coming toward me, blue, sans hood. Prolly on a shakedown cruise. Not long after that, a dark gold '66 Cutlass coupe.
  8. Silver Fiat 500 with chromium gas door. Yellow Fiat 500 @ the local Enterprise office. Miniature. One of those dumb iQs at the local Scion suppository. And, at the Datsun dealer, a new blue Leaf (it blows.) I wish somebody would turn over that new Leaf.

  10. It's like waking up from a dream under the glare of cold reality, those late 70's A-bodies. But I'd take it in a heartbeat if I had the means.
  11. DHS = Deville Highline Sedan
  12. Whoa that's neat too!
  13. Very nice!
  14. Good on ya, Robert.
  15. I always liked the '78-'88 A/G body cars and this is no exception. Non-judicious use of the storied Bonneville name in this case, but I'm sure Pontiac was doing the best they could with corporate decisions. Cheers for the car itself, aside from the name.
  16. Ohhh... now it makes sense. I see where it was found underground in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
  17. We are next door to the Lancaster Amtrak station, which had visibly fallen into a bit of disrepair over the decades. A multi-million dollar project was funded by local money to upgrade the building and the grounds, which went millions over budget. Then it was discovered that NOTHING was done to improve or update the interior of the building. People around here are wondering why Amtrak hasn't contributed to the cost of this botched project that will cost untold sums MORE of local taxpayers' moolah to do something with the tattered interior. Heads need to roll, shirley. High speed trains are helpful though. I hope the stations up there in MI are safe and somewhat modern.
  18. It's gorgeous.
  19. Meh, no rush really. There's no line waiting.
  20. I heard the new Versa has a horn like a Peterbilt.
  21. 2013 Regal should have 2.5L base (unfettered, naturally), and 2.0 turbo in the two flavors. Simple and to the point.
  22. This may have been the reality in 1955 for durability of interior soft parts. The wood bed floor seems normal for the age, too. I'd do the minimum to make it serviceable and roadworthy, reupholster the seat, replace the rubber floor mat and bed floor and just ride it like it is... it's pretty cool, imo.
  23. Jeez, I forgot to post a birthday thread for our resident joystick handler/spy shooter, Mr. Chris Doane. It certainly was not intentional. I hope you had a good one!
