  1. Yeah I guess I was taking a cue from my cat... sneaking up and pouncing. But it was still a brief, beneficial "blow off steam" moment, after his recent horseplay. A '66 Chevy pickup? Pics prease!

If I can think of it and if I can get it to work, I'll try to take a phone picture and post it.
  4. Ohhh, you just got yerself in deep doo-doo, Mr. Viper. :angry2: :AH-HA_wink: OK yes, it does have a bit too much daylight between the tires and the fenders, but is it 1.6" worth? I'll have to break out my measuring tape. Paulie, yes, my car has a "Bright Chrome Appearance Package", consisting of a chrome grille, door handles, tailpipe tip, and a set of foglamps.
  5. The same boring been-there-done-that Mazda3/Vibe greenhouse. Who is going to break that tired trend?
  6. I'm pretty close to Hershey, and it is a great show to attend. Maybe I'll head up there on Saturday.

A coworker was test driving a customer's '04 Mountaineer today after replacing the transmission, when a Caravan ran a stop sign and t-boned him HARD in the driver's side, popping the head curtains (which probably saved his life). It sent the big Mountaineer over on its right side, sliding down the street, until it caught something, flipped into the air and landed ON TOP OF a Chevy pickup. The Mercury is smashed to smithereens, every single panel. The doctors say he broke no bones, and he'll only be sore for a few days. The center post on his side is a couple of inches into the driver's seat... unbelievable. He is a lucky man to have been driving such a strong SUV.
  8. Well, in its defense, it was pretty high mileage, I think it was like 140-150k miles.
  9. Oh man, yup, the Impala is 5-lug of course, and the Impala has 7 main spokes, Cobalt has 6... but otherwise they are nearly identical. Oh and I checked Eibach's site today... their mild drop kit is like 1.6". I was hoping to only go about an inch lower. We'll see what it looks like with the 16" rims before I go messing with the suspension.
  10. Well thank ya, Paulie. There is a resemblance, yes? I'm just glad they're at least different from the '05-'08 Cobalt wheel covers. I've been thinking of trying to find a set of the 4-lug, 16" 5 spoke aluminum OEM Cobalt wheels, maybe a set of take-offs... or even the Saturn ION aluminum rims that came on the Cobalt Special Edition cars from '08 (hmmm... I forget if they were 4- or 5-lug.) In talking with my young friends, OEM rims are cooler than aftermarket. Go figure.

  12. Yeah it was a light green 2 door convertible. The rocker panels were shot (rust), but that was minor compared to the front hubs falling apart inside. The cost to repair would have been prohibitive, so she junked it.
  13. WENDY'S BACONATOR!
  14. I made $75 when I referred my cousin to buy a used car (a PT Cruiser she really likes) from us when her '95 Tracker died. YAY! And thanks, 66.
  15. Um OK, sorry to destroy your fantasy...:AH-HA_wink:
  16. That prolly hurt.
  17. You're steering. This should be a neutral thread, that's all I'm suggesting.
  18. Satty's post is rubbing the wrong way. It is out of bounds for this thread.
  19. Yes, please, no more "Gay Bombs".
  20. OK then, I will explicitly spell it out for you in the context in which it was meant: we need a strong military that is ready to protect our interests abroad and keep us safe here at home.
  21. Drew, you know very well the context in which my post was meant. You and Camino's issues are tangential to mine, not central. Please refrain from trying to "show me the light". Thanks.
  22. National Security is an important issue for me.
  23. I always liked the Element, and almost bought one when they first came out. The refresh makes it look more mature and substantial. I like it.
  24. Well, the Cobalt and G5 were named two of the least expensive cars to own. With that and the wonderful Ecotec engine, clean styling and helpful features, I think I made a pretty good choice.

    McCain's trend

Uncivilised, uncalled-for, unfair. Double-standard. Abuse of power.
