    CHEESE

Reg, call me. :AH-HA_wink: A nice chunk of crumbly, extra-sharp cheddar with French's yellow mustard... YUM. Dodgefan, it's that mingling of disparate flavors in your mouth that is sooo good. Plus, I was home sick today and didn't want to eat anything too wild. I like grilled cheese sandwiches made with swiss cheese. Those are good, dipped in tomato soup. And the tomato soup has to be made with water... if it's made with milk it's just gross. Oh, and a sandwich made with ginger snaps (or spiced wafers, whatever your region calls them) and American singles is just tasty. Mmmm... and a salad with crumbled bleu and candied pecans or walnuts over spinach leaves with raspberry vinaigrette... LOVE IT. Custom-S, buddy, what kind of cheese do you like, mate?
  2. Yeah, once Impala came on the scene, Bel Air lost its top of the line status, and usually only top-line models were available in hardtop form. Still, the answer is a surprise.

    CHEESE

I am eating a light dinner of cheese and an apple. I love extra, Extra, EXTRA sharp cheddar to accompany the taste of the apple. This time, I bought "Heluva Good" brand "New York State Extra Sharp", and bleh, what a let-down. It's mild to the point of being flavorless, and it's way too creamy. I like my extra sharp cheddar to crumble when I cut it. Can anyone relate?
  4. Just a wild guess, but prolly 800 of those visits are from Bob. You two are so cute together! :AH-HA_wink:

  6. Sure has, today we can spend up to and over $1200 to replace a xenon headlight and igniter, so we can blind oncoming drivers. I'm not sure we can actually see further into the night, however. This Regal is gorgeous, by the way.
  7. Oh, really?
  8. I thought I read somewhere of something even earlier than this, but not sure if it got as far along in development as the Electro-Vette.
  9. I tried to get my mom to buy an '81 Chevette. She almost did it. I still think they were tough as nails, good little cars. She ended up with a Renault Le Car, which she loved. It served her well.
  10. I was actually out on a date Monday night... didn't get home until like 12:50 am. I was good all day yesterday, but man, I crashed early last night. I've always been an early-to-bed, early-to-rise guy. I guess it's from my farm upbringing.
  11. Gas was actually cheaper in Ocean City this past weekend than it was up here. $2.93 v. $2.89. Of course, those prices may be history now. I think it's $2.99 at the local Wawa now.
  12. The Monza Mirage was a special edition, with a body kit made to look like the IMSA (?) roadrace Monzas. It was called "Mirage" because it was made to fool the onlooker into thinking it was the actual race car. I saw a spotless, pristine 1978 Chevette 5 door in light green/tan in Ocean City this weekend. Among others.
  13. Belated? Hmmm... in my unofficial capacity as Birthday Greeter here at C&G, I am at a disadvantage since I go to bed at 9:30... I'm not here at the stroke of midnight to check the announcement below. Oh well, you snooze, you lose I guess. Happy Birthday, guys. Hope you all have a good one.

  17. I met up with my old friend Dustin in Ocean City this weekend. When I left Maryland in 2003, he was working at the dealership there as sort of a gopher. Now, he has his own bodyshop with 3 fulltime employees, and he is specializing in restoration work, hot rods and muscle cars. He and his crew did the paint and bodywork on this flawless Nova, which has been appraised at $300k. Every body seam has been smoothed, the firewall and dash cut out and custom-fabricated, the drip rails have been molded in. Only the best of everything went into this Nova, which was completed 2 years ago. The owner is selling it, and he had nothing but praise for Dustin. I am proud of this kid. Honestly, these pictures do not do this magnificent project any justice.
  18. Even more pictures (the tip of the iceberg for this show):
  19. OK, here are some of my pictures from the show:
  20. I looked around for a Marblehead Fleetwood in Rehoboth and OC, to no avail. Surprise, surprise, the weather was actually decent! I was shocked. I got tons of pics, I'll post them in this thread soon.

  22. Duh, yeah, 2. Somewhere I saw photos of the "M1", sport version of the small coupe. Until I actually see real evidence of an Alpha Tempest, The BMW will do.
  23. So, Custom-S, how long did it take you to realize what kind of bar you were in over in Germany? :AH-HA_wink:
  24. I like the Pentastar as a corporate logo, but prefer the winged ribbon & crest for Chrysler's divisional logo, same as the Ram for Dodge and the distinctive "Jeep" lettering for Jeep.
  25. I want to see the 1-Series coupe we're supposed to get. That will be the BMW for me.
