  1. Or a dozen dehumidifiers. Spent the whole day moving stuff "up" for whatever that's worth. All of my good stuff is in there - some damage done. Not happy.
  2. I have a bit of a thing for all of them - they stood out from the crowd in the 50s. Lower, longer, wider happened at Studebaker first.
  3. Thought that myself, but there it was sans square roof, Gran Turismo script on the door.
  4. ...in the barn. Those old, thick, stone walls are weeping moisture, the concrete floor is weeping moisture, and water is condensing on everthing I own! ARGH! I need a solution.
  5. Really wish I could. Way busy with lots of BS I'd rather not be doing.
  6. You're making me feel old, Roger! I bought a 1990 K3500 new.
  7. I always thought this car was a bit homely.
  8. So much of that is obvious. The idea to bring the Ute here as a Pontiac (and maybe now as a GMC), is a great example of GM ignoring the obvious, common-sense solution of branding it as a Chevy El Camino. Just one clear example of what over-thinking, and second-guessing, creates.
  9. A caravan to Lancaster County may be in order.
  10. Got distracted by the Vette, but I really am going to have to deal with this soon. I may ask my neighbor to just weld-up the existing system for now.
  11. It's too bad they didn't evolve a 2nd generation Lincoln LS. Bad name, but decent hardware w/ potential. Absolutely. That was the way forward for Lincoln and they bailed on it. Now, they could start by dumping the empty "MK" naming scheme. So forgetable.
  12. True. Irrigation is necessary in most of California. Even in the north, where the problem is "dry" rather than "hot". Lots of nursery stock is grown in northern CA (with irrigation). Monrovia Nurseries is a huge operation - I once took a tour.
  13. I may have to go buy it.
  14. Without heavy irrigation, most of what grows in socal... wouldn't. It's the frost-free that makes it work, not high heat. And, all that does is make for a long growing season as Samadei said. Plants are very adaptable, but the conditions in socal are purely artificial or nothing but drought-tolerant things would grow.
  15. Thanks guys. I did a quick scan of NOS parts on ebay yesterday, and I'm thinking that a parts car will be a requirement considering the demolished state of the dash/interior on my car.
  16. That just speaks volumes...
  17. Saw a black Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk out for cruise 2 days ago. It was an early one too, before they squared-off the roof.
  18. How about a Viper-powered lawnmower...
  19. That's cause they cheaped-out and went with the 4-spokes instead of the 5s. We should get you some yellow Viper badges...
  20. Nicely done! Are those Viper wheels?
  21. Trust me on this, the plants don't like the heat.
  22. Were good, just a tough day at work. We are in the middle of busy season and we have the big race at Norwalk this week. Add to that I am in the middle of building and moving to a new house and new garage. I have to decide which Corvette billboard to put up the 78 Silver anniversery or the 93 Red roadster. Both are 22 X 9 ft. What one would you do? I think I'd go with the '78 - if it was the Indy pace car, it would be no contest. That was probably the best pace car package ever on a Corvette.
