  1. Corvette is one of the few products GM has gotten consistently right for many years in a row, don't F-with it! Some artificial "need" to radically change the formula is the worst kind of foolishness. Everyone understands what a Corvette is, screw with that at your peril.
  2. Glad to hear that you got it - Congrats!
  3. It's not like they have any choice in the matter.
  4. Somehow, I think she might resist. I do have a spare Malamute though...
  5. Yeah, that color is weird in that car. As for making him an offer, unless he wants a Jag project, I don't have much to make an offer with.
  6. ...I could really use it. http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/2429986148.html
  7. Case closed.
  8. Good luck with the project. Those small engines have never been my thing. Cars I have no issue with, but those small engines always seem to confound me. I hate anything with a pull-start.
  9. Some rubbing going on...
  10. GT-R has a back seat and you can drive it in snow because it has AWD. Then it isn't a sportscar.
  11. Just wishlist at this point, but I'll eventually be needing the door glass for a '72 Vette convertible and a pair of restorable bucket seats for the same. If anyone spies them (or other Vette stuff) at a reasonable price, let me know. I think I found an NOS nuetral safety switch for the car at a decent price, but I really wanted a cheapy aftermarket switch. The parts houses list the wrong one for some stupid reason. All they show is for a column shift, and AFAIK, no such animal exists in the Vette.
  12. Easy enough to do. How about it, Olds?
  13. Cool. I'll ask about it when I go back.
  14. OK, got it. What's it worth?
  15. OK, how would I know which one you are hunting?
  16. No doubt. That's why 90 million of them were produced prior to the LT-1 and LS1.
  17. Your sense of humor certainly has a unique signature, Mr. Blu.
  18. Very cool. I highly recommend that you take him up on the offer and go to a race - you'll have a great time.
  19. I'll look, DF. Samadei: Yeah, it was brutal. But it was only a few screws and one connector to get the job done - I was still sweat-soaked when I finished. I wanted that errand off of my list in a bad way, so I braved the heat.
  20. To get a third brake light for the tahoe (don't ask). Was pleasantly surprised to find tons of good stuff for both the Tahoe and the Mothertruck. I'll be going back when it isn't so hot.
  21. Wanna fill us in?
  22. I find it disturbing that he believes such a thing. It doesn't bode well for any cars I'd be interested in coming from GM while he's around.
  23. Yup, it was name recognition. I've seen Chevelle wagons and El Caminos with "400" badges, and the 402 under the hood. Can't say I've ever seen a sedan or coupe though. I definitelyhave not seen any Chevelle, wagon, or EC with the 400 smallblock.
  24. My experience has been that the best info comes from model specific sites with an active forum.
  25. I've been trying to make it work in my head, but I'm not there yet. BTW: I had no plans to use the copper color on Mothertruck. If you look at the Camino, just picture the copper as dark blue and flip that scheme to the truck. Couple things are getting in the way of making it work the way I want. One is the front marker light (gets in the way), and the other is the framed door glass. I'd love to see some chops of various ideas.
