  1. Thanks guys, it isn't fun but has to be done. No loss on the Z71, I really need a 2500.
  2. Awesome, just awesome!
  3. This is what I'll be hunting for in a hurry if the Silverado sells: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/ctd/1466763049.html
  4. The pics in the "Project Camino" thread don't re-size for me either.
  5. Thanks for the compliment, and the input. I'll take my time and learn all I can. I would worry about anything with a Ford Transmission - bad track record there. I've seen that John Deere makes some of the chassis.
  6. Whoa! I'm not so sure I like that.
  7. "Stinky Slinky"? Good stuff, Cube, thanks.
  8. Yeah, I have the basics down. But who makes a good one? Which ones are not worth having? What features are a big deal? I'm hoping to get a handle on that sort of thing.
  9. It's a case of what happens first. I need that payment gone - one way or the other. Any turn of events that gets the mission accomplished will do. Things are just that dire. Maybe I'll end up keeping the Silverado - it would make things easier if it works out that way. But time is very short, I'll do what I have to.
  10. ...on RVs? I'd like to learn a bit more about them. Class A, Class C, and trailers. Just want to get a feel for what's what in that world.
  11. Gotcha. Add that edit isn't functioning at the moment.
  12. Couple more: -Page loading has been slow -"Fast reply" isn't - And here's a really odd one: Two members were randomly added to my ignore list. I've never put anyone on ignore.
  13. Thanks, XP. I am still considering NH, but it will take some time before I'm ready for that. As for plowing,it is going to be a dicey thing to get the Silverado sold and buy an old plow beast fast enough. I'm done with commercial plowing anyway - but I still have to keep this place clear of snow and take care of family driveways. Not going to be easy...
  14. I should probably take care of that...
  15. Should cicumstances allow...
  16. Oh Crap! That's not good.
  17. Oh Crap! That's not good.
  18. Absolutely right, an unbroken lineage. The original smallblock was such an amazing design that the basic architecture ran all the way from '55 to the nineties. The LT1 and LT4 were a bridge to the truly all-new LS series, when even 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 no longer applied. Despite the wholesale design differences, application and envelope of the LS series make them a direct descendent of the original
  19. DOHC is beyond the automotive vocabulary of most buyers - the demand argument is bunk.
  20. The vette has always been an over-achiever doing more with less. I expect the same from the C-7.
  21. The LS engines are still the best performing, most-efficient,most cost-effective V8s in the non-exotic realm today. I'd look for evolution, not revolution here. Not to mention the fact that they are far easier to package and maintain than DOHC V8s. One point Hyper makes is certain, what goes into the trucks will find its way into the Vette in some form.
  22. That post is pure genius.
  23. Glad to hear it!
  24. Thanks Ocn, but it's up to me to find a way to "better".
  25. Thanks Balthazar, wish I could take you up on that offer - it would feel great to do work like that for a while. Can't happen though due to the dogs and my duties here. Wish it was closer.
