  1. Ummm.... Sometimes it isn't wise to try to please everyone with one package. This would be a fine example of that.
  2. James! Glad to hear from you! Very cool purchase, I have always loved these cars - such great lines. Good luck with it!
  3. OK, sounds good to me.
  4. I'm going to take a break, then I may just do that.
  5. I've done a bit of that already. Imageshack is on my $h!list too, the links to my albums are bogus. Oh well, back to work.
  6. Twice I worked my tail off to get a posting ready, and twice CL gave me this "your listing is too large" without a way to go back and edit! Jerk-offs! I'm guessing that the pics did it, but who knows? Ticks me off when my time is wasted like that.
  7. Exactly. The administrator acted like a petulant child and, in my opinion, created the disturbance that followed. Childish idiots run schools under the guise of being "disciplinarians". Been true forever.
  8. Hopefully, you can drop the quarter window and frame down into the door without removing it and just slide it back into place once the new window is in.
  9. Car guy credentials of the first order.
  10. And how many times it can reverse direction...
  11. Things certainly are fluid at the moment, however I feel certain that the points I make are of an enduring nature. I'd place money on that. As I recall, the BMW engine idea was tied to BMW's use of the dual-mode hybrid tech. Haven't heard any news about it since. My gut says that the new GM wouldn't go for that idea.
  12. Good approach, DF. It should give you the wiggle room you need to get the job done.
  13. I'm under a time constraint that makes ebay less possible.
  14. Nothing yet. Calls and e-mails, but no deals.
  15. Not bad for 5 bills! Congrats BV, have fun.
  16. GM will meet CAFE, and the Vette will remain LS-powered. Someday, maybe, if it makes sense, if GM has some spare cash to throw around, if they can't get the job done without it, Caddy might get a V8 that features DOHC again, but it will be happenstance rather than central to the design. Don't hold your breath, because there is no imperative for it to happen.
  17. I knew I liked that guy! When he got the job, hope returned. I really hope all of the opposition to this has finally been put out to pasture. After all the BS we've been through, maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel after all.
  18. I predict a big win for the first automaker to build something in this segment that isn't butt ugly. At least during the next run-up in gas prices. All current offerings are awful eyesores.
  19. Yeah, I'll have to try something.
  20. I guess I just see this differently than you guys do. If you treat them like little kids, that's how they will act. Schools have become minimum security houses of detention since I went to high school. In my opinion, it has only lowered the maturity level of the inmates...err students.
  21. Looking at it, I think I'd get a window first and try to fit it in from the inside before messing with the landau. Not saying it would work, but I'd sure give it a shot. X2 on the 3M adhesive.
  22. Can't quite picture the problem, can you post a pic?
  23. So much for saturday...
  24. True. But multiple bodystyles would reel in more buyers than either performance options or "green" options.
  25. Agreed. It is a winning strategy, and not only for the Cruze.
