  1. Great flower, terrible tree. It's on my do not plant list.
  2. That's the color, you can see it in Caddycruiser's sig too. I figured that it would just be close and not perfect - no biggie, the color looks very different in different light anyway.
  3. Cool! Pacific Slate Metallic, please.
  4. It was my first new car, and I kept it pristine at all times.
  5. That all sounds very cool to me! Today I saw a flawless maroon metallic 64-67 Vette: totally stunning! And, a 71ish Delta 88 vert with the top down, cornering hard.
  6. Any volunteers? I have had a few ideas, but nothing has really clicked yet. Maybe one using this pic and the quote "What is, and what can never be" By CaminoLS6 Or maybe another shot in a better color.
  7. :rotflmao: Well, I wish him a Happy Birthday wherever he is.
  8. *sigh* Yeah, I miss all of my black cars...
  9. Very cool looking wood!

  12. So damn wrong to give this to Nissan.
  13. Not really, but Sciadopitys was once considered to a member of the same family as Metasequoia. I actually like mamy, many, types of woody plants. And yes, it is Japanese and commonly called a pine - but it isn't actually a pine. In fact, it has its own family all by itself.
  14. I can oblige with a plant thread anytime. Next up: Sciadopitys verticillata
  15. The Taxodiums have always been hardy here and are an interesting genus in the same family. I find that they lack the grace of the Metasequoia though.
  16. Might have to take you up on that someday.
  17. I was up at dawn this morning... It didn't pay.
  18. I once replaced a head gasket on an Austin-Healey between races in Shenley Park in Pittsburgh - but it wasn't snowing. We did have to go mooching a gasket from other racers though.
  19. Some decent shots here: http://www.bomengids.nl/uk/soorten/Metaseq...wn_redwood.html But it's from Europe and they grow a bit differently there.

  23. I haven't found many good pics on the web yet. There are other deciduous conifers (Bald Cypress, Larch, etc.) but not many. I'm going to look again for good pics.
