  1. *and bump again*
  2. The "give us another chance" letter arrived today, along with a certificate for an additional incentive above and beyond rebates on a new GM car. I felt kinda sad after stuffing it back into the envelope and tossing it aside.
  3. Sorry to be harsh in return, but if that is the case, the battle is already lost. My desires when it comes to a vehicle are just as legitimate as any other customer. If they have chosen to lose me permanently, so be it. But I refuse to cheer for stuff I don't have any interest in while believing in some future mirage.
  4. Would be a nice upgrade.
  5. A fatal error.
  6. Thanks Roger, pics will be delayed until tomorrow.
  7. Oh, I know! A buddy of mine had a '71 Chrysler 300 coupe with that drivetrain that I spent some wheel time in.
  8. But this thread is "about me". No matter how many times you repeat the bland, basic, car mantra, the fact remains that there is no offering for me left. I started this thread looking for some hope: none found.
  9. I don't think that there were any "structural" differences. Position of the engines would be a function of different motor mounts, but AFAIK the subframes are identical.
  10. That I do. I snapped two pics of it on the trailer, then the batteries in my camera died. I'll take some more tomorrow.
  11. A Z/28 might interest me, at least mildly. The rest are not going to be on my radar.
  12. My thoughts exactly.
  13. First of all, I love all of the El Camino bodystyles. My current fascination with the '73-77 examples is just that, my current fascination. Those years represent the fourth gen El Camino, and I view them as having a different sort of value vs. the other gens. I have also owned 3rd and 5th gen Caminos. The 3rd gens are my favorites, but they are not quite so affordable as the others. And yeah, your inclusion of '61-'63 in your list gave me a chuckle, 68. As much as I wish they had happened, they did not. I once saw a photo of a '63 that was a GM promo-style model - so perhaps. like the G8ST, they came close to existing. 66Stang: No danger of thrown wrenches for my direction.
  14. Not surprising. Those engines need a major overhaul with very few miles - it comes with the turf. Sort of like maintaining an airplane. They do go like stink though.(well at least the RX-7s did)
  15. GTOs look good in my barn. :AH-HA_wink:
  16. I've had 3 so far, there will be more.
  17. Hear that, PCS? Fix it, and then we'll talk. :AH-HA_wink:
  18. LSx engines are like that...
