  1. ... that GM may have cut too much, too fast? 4 Brands More than a third of dealers 10s of thousands of employees I'm thinking that the overall impact will be much larger than anticipated by anyone.
  2. Flat awesome! :rotflmao:
  3. Perfect, black, early sixties Ford Fairlane - sounded great. Stopped and checked out a '79 Lincoln MarkV w/47k original for sale by the side of the road. Very clean, but they were smoking something funny by asking 6k for it.
  4. I wouldn't be quite so sure about that.
  5. We will have to watch the small print.
  6. Any attempt to make this non-voluntary means that I will arm myself. No joke. EDIT: On the Tacoma - Toyota certainly hopes so!
  7. Not true, though there are many that are "crushworthy". They sold well enough, and are still loved well enough that not too many good ones would be lost. But some would.
  8. Maybe. But they are almost too old for that. But, lots of 3rd gen F-body cars could go as well as B-bodies and other cool stuff.
  9. I'm saving my share. :AH-HA_wink:
  10. Examine the specifics of each proposed law, and you may find good reason to hate and oppose it. Or not. It depends on how it is written. No one will ever miss an old K-car or clapped-out Camry or Accord, but I remember a number of magazine features about serious classics that they saved from the crusher...
  11. The devil will be in the details...
  12. It's one of the only really big cars I've ever loved - so unique (especially for '71).
  13. Still my pick: By CaminoLS6
  14. Someone say Buick? By CaminoLS6
  15. Amen to that! We could start with the GM Heritage Collection and go from there.
  16. In honor of 68, let's not forget the coachbuilt masterpieces of the 20s and 30s. V16 Caddy limo anyone?
  17. I too, love the C3s. But not in yellow.
  18. Agreed, but it is the Smithsonian we are talking about here... That '59 Caddy can make a similar claim - though I can't say they ever did anything for me.
  19. Zero problems there. I did get a sunburn through the tinted T-tops driving across the state one August, though. I had never put the T-top sunshades in before that, but they came out of the factory plastic before I ran that route again!
  20. Mine was a black 210. But back to your question: I noticed your use of the word "visual" to modify high water mark. So, I nominate the '63 split window Corvette.
  21. This is the elephant in the room - easily the most famous GM car (iconic, legendary, etc.) You have to take it out of the running to get a good variety of answers, I think.
  22. Haha! Actually, I'm not. But I love the unique and interesting, and had the Formula been available as a vert in '02 mine might have been one. The fact is, of the more than 50 cars I've owned, none have been verts. Or Vettes... Maybe I'll fix both of those in one shot some day.
  23. Mine was only "exercised" on perfect weather days, and was very low-mile... But when I drove it, I drove it!
