    I don't remember what year it was, but the shifter was beyond horrible in its location. You nearly had to reach back behind yourself to get to it, and you wished that your arm was about half of its length so you could avoid the awkward angle you had to hold it at to shift. I had a long test drive in mind, but only lasted about 10 minutes with that rotten shifter.

    Your local dealer may be able to look up the car's history for you through Chrysler's own database. I've gotten history on GM cars that way. And it costs nothing.

    I believe that they were all silver from the factory, I can't swear to it though. The '86 M/Cs were all white.

    There were no '85s, the Aerocoupe was only built in '86 and '87. The 86s are very,very, rare. The '87s are rare, but not terribly rare.

    Some have slipped through over the years, and the GMMG Supercars were B4Cs from the factory.

    I've said this before, and every day I believe it more. The administration doesn't want to save GM and Chrysler, they just want to slow down the dying process so that the economy can absorb the hit.

    I'm being pushed over the edge with a silly low price, so I have to at least go look it over. The engine is an update, but I don't have all of the particulars yet. Sadly, no barn doors - but the 5spd. makes up for it. As Mol..., I mean Cube says, they are quite rare. Now to find the time to take a look.

    But a good friend of mine called me up to say that he had a line on a '92 K-5 Blazer with a 5spd. manual - going cheap. Newer engine, inspected and legal, not rusty... I'm trying to forget that I know about it.
