  1. It's getting harder to find reasons to stand by what isn't what you "signed up for". In a sense, much of it is now the polar opposite of what made me stand there in the first place. That reality begs the questions I am now asking myself.
  2. ...giving a $h! anymore. About GM Hell, about the country itself. It all just seems so hoplessly wrong, and determined to become even moreso. The popular "visions" for the future that are bandied about are anathema to me. I'm starting to become very, very, angry. I'm not loving the time we live in at all. And it has almost nothing to do with the economy either. So, what to do?
  3. I'm not fat, but it seems to me that people have way too much to say about those who are. You'd think that they were all terrorists or something.
  4. The way things are going, it might be separated from the present and the future before long.
  5. The car was actively undermined from within. Or perhaps sabotaged would be me accurate. Only some enlightened folks have realized how good it is anyway. A small bright spot in the black hole that is GM today.
  6. Shortly there won't be anything "global" about GM.
  7. I could counter each of your points and turn this into a debate, but it would be pointless. It would be pointless because the tidal wave of hatred that would rise from such a decision (rational or not) would overwhelm any chance of it ever happening. Unless Chevrolet itself dies, the Corvette will always be a Chevy.
  8. Taking Corvette from Chevrolet simply will not ever happen.

Am I the only one who has had good luck with State Farm? My agents are the best, and the pricing is good.
  10. Hey, you're the one who said he'd rather "btich and moan" about it than actually fix the issue. I came so close to adding a "Bitch, please" to the rolleyes smiley - you deserved it too. You crack me up sometimes, BV.
  11. I love that chop of the T/A, and I'd buy one. But it would be a very bad choice for Pontiac to go there right now.
  12. That's the hope, however slim it might be.
  13. Very tough to see what's going on in those pics...
  14. Well, it looks as if something along those lines will happen if Pontiac continues to exist at all. If that's the case, the brand will be geared toward a very small volume which I think plays to the strength of the product and the brand. I would be very pleased with Pontiac as a focused, niche, performance brand. Without money wasted on volume junk.
  15. But that's where the beauty of this upgrade lies. It is engineered for the vehicle by GM. The troubles you describe come from ad hoc modification done without an eye toward treating the entire car like a single system. That can and will get you into trouble.
  16. I get that. I was mostly just being a smartass with my earlier post. It is true that I don't even consider safety ratings, but that doesn't mean that I don't consider safety. I just evaluate it for myself, and base it on things other than what the IIHS or the government has to say.
  17. No I don't. I was responding to the rediculous remark that people here at C&G wouldn't buy more than 1 Pontiac per year.
  18. I'll never buy one of these little turds anyway. So, for me, not only is this obvious but it also doesn't matter. In fact, I never even look at crash ratings. I do however, look at braking systems, structure, handling... You know, the stuff that keeps you out of a wreck in the first place.
  19. Barris only built caricatures. This isn't one of the better ones either.
  20. Actually that's a pretty stupid statement. Especially since the members of C&G have purchased more new Pontiacs than any other GM brand except Chevrolet over the last decade. The difference was only 11 vehicles
