  1. The looks don't wow me, but at least it is a RWD coupe.
  2. Very true. And anyone with even half a brain wouldn't expect any car to meet pre-crash projections. Some very good cars have been hamstrung by the crappy economy and all of the doubt surrounding GM's future. When the dust settles, a truer picture will emerge.
  3. Not to rub it in, but I'm so glad I'm not there. I love Spring.
  4. Reasons to be proud. ...and achievements worth rewarding.
  5. That depends on how close you are and when you last showered.
  6. Nice present
  7. Better you than me Moltar, I could never live in that crap.
  8. So what's the holdup? Go get it.
  9. It didn't work out so well last time around... I remember the crappy little Kadett and the Manta too.
  10. Yeah, so?
  11. The food doesn't gross me out anywhere near as much as the title of this thread. That mental image is a rough one.
  12. I loved standing on my GTO's throttle and watching the fuel economy drop! Good fun.
  13. Croc, you forget that I also hate the G6. The twintop doesn't help. EDIT: Though the interior is quite nice.
  14. You guys are slow learners - he wants a GM product. Get over it.
  15. I sure wouldn't. I don't think much of the Astra - especially as a Pontiac.
  16. The Opels would be wrong for Pontiac anyway.
  17. You may be right, FOG. I would hope that the design gets some solid revision prior to production - I think it does deserve that. In other words, it's good enough to be worth perfecting.
  18. Interesting. I can't say that I share that confidence.
  19. I enjoyed the weirdness of Venice Beach. And the La Brea tarpits.
  20. I'm simply not prepared to surrnder to all of that. I intend to remain a vocal opponent.
  21. I think the lesson here is that the tadpole isn't the best inspiration to draw automotive shaping from. But the quality of the finishing on this concept shows exactly where Buick should be heading.
  22. That was my exact reaction as well - in profile, the whole overall shape looks backwards. But the detailing is outstanding, I especially like the sweepspear trim wrapping the tails. The dash is also very finely finished and pleasing to the eye. All over the exterior, detailing is outstanding, but oh, that shape is terrible. Turn the shape 180 degrees, and drop the nose down about 6 inches and they'd have something.
  23. Cut the old guy a break, just reseal it and put it in his mailbox.
  24. Synthetic Chamois have been around forever - and they work. Check your local Pep Boys for something called "The Absorber" - same thing except it comes in a plastic tube to keep it from drying out completely. Yeah, they need to be slightly moist to work.
