  1. Talk about variety...
  2. Driving a 50's or 60's car doesn't bother me, but driving that '38 Dodge around here makes me a bit nervous. The car doesn't do anything quickly.
  3. Crossovers don't interest me generally- I'd rather have a true wagon.
  4. Wow! I'm really sorry to hear this, and I know how it feels. If you can hang on 'til next month, I might know someone who would be interested.
  5. Love it, Fly! I can't wait to start driving my Colonnades around - the "battering ram" bumpers even scare me! Is it Prius season yet?
  6. Actually, I prefer gaseous fuels in traditional ICEs like BMW's hydrogen system. Bio-fuels have a real chance as well and diesel tech is another promising area. No Aveos for me - not a chance. I would like to see the masses driving Volts, however. And I hope gasoline remains available for classic cars, so some oil useage is fine by me.
  7. The Vette should continue to evolve as it always has. The Cien should take over the top performer slot. As for the Pontiac, it would be at the opposite end of the scale from the Solstice (no conflict there). It should also focus on overal performance vs. just power and come in below the top Vette in price and HP/torque. I'd like to see it as a 6cyl. with the basic platform shared with the Cien.
  8. Another dismal outlook, I have far more faith in the ability of car makers to innovate. And, I believe that a real push toward replacing oil as a fuel is taking place (30 years late, but finally happening). No A and B class cars for me -ever.
  9. As far as new cars go, I will never buy a FWD and it is very unlikely that I'd buy anything with 4 doors or less than a V8. And , for cars, a manual transmission. So, zeta is the only thing that fits the bill for me.
  10. If I were in the market for a sedan, I'd take this over a CTS even if they were the same price. I have never cared for the CTS (V series excepted). The style of the Caddy just doesn't appeal to me. I would, however, find a supplier in Australia to send me a set of taillights to replace those ugly freakin' clear lens things on the G8. No production car should ever wear that crap again.
  11. When I saw this: Toyota Australia launches TRD ... I was imagining a dogpile and a catapult.
  12. Damn right I'm ready! I've been waiting a very long time for something like zeta, and I guarantee that I will own at least one zeta vehicle within the first 3 years of production. The alternative is that GM continues to build cars I would never buy, so without Zeta I have a hard time caring.
  13. Lots of ifs and a very bleak outlook, I take a more positive view. I believe that the US will love zeta, and alpha after it.
  14. You are completely out of your mind! You're one-track mind is doing you a disservice here: you are beating a very dead horse. GM cannot and will not kill Saturn, Pontiac, and Buick.
  15. Yeah, too bad that. I guess that's what happens when we are diametrically opposed on Holden and Pontiac. We do seem to agree on Kappa at least.
  16. Right on the mark for me.
  17. Go enjoy yourself, Ocn. Whatever happens, happens. Deal with it when you have to, until then let it slide.
  18. The Volt will turn the market on its ear - and make GXT very, very quiet. :AH-HA_wink:
  19. Same old brand killing song and its just as absurd as it was last week. Can't happen Won't happen Shouldn't happen That LA smog has fogged-in your brain.
  20. That recipe for Pontiac is sound - I've been thinking along the same lines. An ME Corvette is a foolish idea.
  21. And you forget one critical aspect. If the car is already in motion, its inertia will overpower the brakes. Imagine a lane change at 60 mph and add in a stuck throttle. No doubt that many of these incidents are driver-caused, but there have been too many on this car and other Toyotas to ignore the possibility of a safety defect. An investigation is certainly warranted.
  22. Thinking and dreaming are both essential. "When you stop dreaming it's time to die"
