  3. Commodore goes on sale this summer, so I'd say very soon.
  4. Happily, I've been dragging my feet on this successfully for some time now. I just put a new battery in and took a short drive or two last week. Saved the old batt with the assembly line inspection mark.
  5. C'mon, you know you want to do it. He's only asking 4k and its in PA. Should I PM you the #?
  6. Some poor '68-72 El Camino lost its roof for this hack job. Here's the real thing:
  7. It goes on sale this summer so I don't think it will be under wraps much longer.
  8. One line garbage. Even if GM was planning to shut Pontiac down, it couldn't be done that fast. So, not only is this wrong, it is not even possible.
  9. OK, I think we've beaten this particular dead horse so long it is now a fossil. So, after I make one final post here I'll be closing this thread. Let's all cut Funkypunk a break, he maintained civility under a barrage of derision sent at him. Despite every type of argument, including some that crossed the line a bit, he has held onto his beliefs in a steadfast fashion. That is his right as well as anyone else's and deserves respect. Again, I have to say that I am proud of all who paticipated in this debate for keeping the personal attacks to a minor whimper. However, I feel the need to use this smiley for the first time and shut this one down. One parting thought: A very wise woman once told me "People aren't homosexual or heterosexual, they're just sexual". Just something to think about.
  10. Looks great,Northie, and I'm withya on the spoiler and tails.
  11. Grim! I feel your pain,Fly. I once had a truck that must have had a bullseye on it - it got hit 5 times- none my fault. I sold the truck. Must be something in the air this Spring, I've nearly been hit about 7 times in the last few days. Freakin idiots!
  12. Ocn, do I detect an automotive obsession raising its ugly head?
  13. This thread is useless without a link to the wikipedia page in question. However, without seeing it, I'd have to say it's bunk.

  21. Forget tropical, it's warm in so many places in May. Go somewhere that actually has Spring - something living in Socal deprives you of, you won't regret it.
  22. LOL@BV
  23. Josh, I really hope this works for your dad. How does he feel about it?
  24. Yup, that's what the Statesman has always been, but the designation is WM instead of VE. Still a Zeta.
  25. I've always loved cars, (according to my mother from the moment of my birth) and Camaro has always been part of it. The first one to really grab me was a 69 RS/SS in green w/ white hockey stripes. I was a little kid at the time and we drove past where it was parked almost every day. I couldn't tear my eyes away from it. Then there is the '67 RS/SS convertible (white/black top) that lived at a local tire shop and was always kept perfectly clean. That car was there for at least 25 years and rarely left the shelter of its garage bay. I don't know where it is today. I have only ever owned one Camaro (70 RS/SS) but I have been tempted many times. In high school, my obsession was the then new 10th ann. T/A I used to go to the local Pontiac dealer and just stare at the car. Of course, El Caminos are my strongest obsession, but the F-body bug has always been there. When I read about the '91 Firehawk, I wanted one soooo badly. Fast forward to '99 when I spot an unusual looking Formula on a Pontiac lot. I pulled a U-turn to check it out and, of course, it was a Firehawk. From that moment on, the F-body bug sank its teeth. A very long story later, I ended up with the last Firehawk to ever be built. A camaro in my future? Entirely possible.
