  1. I wouldn't bet any money on this prediction.
  2. Yup. Two cracked components in the distributor will certainly do it. Now I'm fighting to get a reasonable price on the part I need - GM is insane sometimes when they price stuff. I can buy the whole distributor for the price of the damned shaft with the magnet. Crazy. Of course I've already purchased the other parts it needed, so I'm stuck.
  3. Got the new "pole base" (as GM calls it), but now I've found another bad part. The "disc" that is pressed onto the long shaft you see in the pictures is a magnet, and is cracked at one of the points. I'm off to order the part now. Pics when I get back to this.
  4. Cool. Ghia body, or in-house Chrysler?
  5. 455 in '67? I think they mean 425. That's what was in my '67 Delmont 88. Huge freakin car, and not very attractive. I'd pass. Abstain.
  6. I also like the dark green used on the 89-91 Suburbans.
  7. Oh, and no GMC nose. Sorry, Roger.
  8. I think this looks pretty sweet:
  9. I almost always prefer solid colors, but that is alot of white. I've already seen most of the donor candidates, Roger. And a few others besides. If the one in Chester Springs is the one I think it is, it would be damn near perfect. We shall see.
  10. Montego Monterey Torino Newport Monaco Cordoba
  11. The timing of the sale of US Govt. shares in GM and Chrysler can't help but to become a political football. Could be ugly.
  12. Laguna Daytona Place-names are geography, Drew. Continental Versailles
  13. Queue Smoky and the Bandit remake in 5...4....3... It would probably be a box office hit...
  14. That's a good looking truck! That one, and a blue metallic one I saw online last night have me re-thinking the two-tone idea a bit. But I'm quite certain that all white will be too much. Sorry about the "teasing" Roger, but planning out loud is all that fits the budget right now.
  15. Hope it all works out, Ocn! I've declined two invitations to this show already, and got a third today. I guess I'm supposed to go to this thing.
  16. Ha, I wish. While it's perfectly legal to fly over any of the Michigan proving grounds at the minimum safe altitude (500 ft.), you would probably run into trouble once you started snapping/using photos. Anyone can fly over private property, but you can't interfere with its' use. Normally, that would just be a noise issue, but with the massive, well-financed legal teams the OEMs have, I'm sure they would have no problem trying to argue in court that someone flying 500 ft over the grounds with a long camera lens was interfering. There's always something to spoil the fun...
  17. Camaro had to be really moving for that sort of destruction to happen. This is the old 2x4 stuck in a tree by hurricane sort of thing.
  18. OK, I was wondering what that was all about.
  19. Yeah, it's a Camaro. I wonder how the driver got going fast enough to do that on that street.
  20. So brutal!
