  1. Sports reporter Ben Higging was doing a story on San Diego States first-ever NCAA Tourney win, when a reversing Tahoe nearly ran him over. Still finished his reprt in the nick of time before he became aware of what almost happened. Ha, now that's a professional.
  2. Yeah...that's like the opposite of small. that is large-in-charge-extra-bell-grande
  3. foo'!
  4. well you do know us personally, just not...uh...how can I spin this...?
  5. LOL it's Whittier. He just swirl-blurred only the first letter for some reason.
  6. Because there's 130 million people living on an archipelago of small, mostly mountainous islands
  7. Cheers (and Gears)!
  8. Linky On the outside, an unassuming 2002 Ford Focus station wagon, albiet with SVT rims: But pop the hood, and reel back in shock as you're greeted by a 4.6L quad-cam Cobra motor: But it doesn't end there. It's been converted to RWD with a 5-speed transmission, 8.8:1 rear end, and coilovers: And, just as a strange aside, I thought it was funny that the title-holder lives in "$h!tier," CA : It doesn't run, and still needs some electrical and other work done (not to mention oil) to get it there, but basically all the components are in place, and it's almost ready to run. I'd love to know just how much power it makes as well. The sleeper potential is astounding.
  9. If the Cobalt were destroyed in an accident, I'd be walking. And then maybe after a while, I'd get another one. As far as the Camaro, the State of California's emmissions regulations says it's no longer roadworthy (changed cats, mufflers, still won't pass emissions so I think something's wrong internally), so it is now a racecar...that is if I can ever get around to working on it. I figure, If I'm going to tear the thing apart to fix it, I may as well.
  10. I remember automatic seatbelts...horrible things they were. luckily, my parents never had a '90's car that was so equipped, but I always thought they were kinda dangerous, even from a young age. but I was more scared of the fingers-getting-pinched issue than the strangling issue.
  11. I'm strangely intrigued. It's interesting and attention-grabbing, that's for sure.
  12. they would be hot in a Nissan Juke Convertible. oh please no...
  13. Where in the Southland are you?? It looks like we're just going to get a small, 3-ft. surge for a few hours. No biggie for the most part...Balboa Peninsula is the only question, really. I live in Costa Mesa, but I work in Huntington Beach. I figured it probably wouldn't be a biggie, but this morning they were sure making a bunch of noise about it. I also have a Japanese friend I went to uni with that lives back in Osaka (I think?). I still keep in touch with her every so often. I sent her a message this morning, but she still has yet to respond. I really hope she's okay. But then again, it's probably the middle of the night out there right now, and last I heard, communications were down around the country anyway, so I'll wait (impatiently worried) a little while longer for her to get back to me.
  14. We're getting Tsunami warning over here in SoCal, too. They're even telling those who live close to the coast to prepare for evacuation if necessary. It's crazy. That's one of the most powerful quakes in recorded history. I've never seen (or experienced) anything that bad.
  15. +1 I'd like to see all of those ones from the '91 road trip, namely that waterfall in Portland.
  16. Those are so crisp and clear. If I didn't know any better, I'd think they were taken in the 60's, rather than 1908-10. Makes you wonder why my parents' old Kodachromes from the 70's and 80's look so crappy in comparison.
  17. I agree with their decision. If an employee working at any company dropped the F-bomb in front of customers they would be--and should be--fired.
  18. Looks to me like it's supposed to be RWD, which would explain the tailfeathers.
  19. The third blurb in the "We Hear" section. I got it backwards, we think it's sooner, they think it's later. And I don't know what to make of the "predicts" nuance. if it's a bit difficult to make out:
  20. LOL
  21. pls. stand by.
  22. lederhosen
  23. The dingdong that made this commercial probably couldn't spot the difference between that and an actual Malibu.
  24. Why did I come in here? Why? I knew what I was walking into.
  25. How C&G Speculated that it will be a '14 model with the CTS-V's engine, and MT disagrees slightly in the respect that they think it may be sooner (I dunno? I don;t have it in front of me, ATM). Basically they're giving source credit. But yeah, I got my subscription issue today and saw that. I was gonna post it myself, but I got beat.. still pretty cool though.
