  1. Jalopnik has been slowly but surely releasing leaked pics of the new Lamborghini LP700, which by all accounts is named Aventador. You can read the First Look here. a few of the basics first: --6.5L V12 engine producing 700hp at a mind-blowing 8250RPM and 506ft-lbs of torque at 5500RPM. --Lamborghini ISR: an automated 6-spd manual gearbox, that is supposed to deliver crisp, clean shifts, yet allow for ease of use in normal driving conditions; it also supposedly provides an almost 50% shorter shift time than with a dual-clutch transmission –- with the benefits of lower weight and smaller size, according to Jalopnik. --Carbon Fiber monocoque chassis that is 500lbs lighter than the Murcielago's, yet 70% stiffer. --Inboard-mounted pushrod-actuated coilover suspension, similar to that of the Ferrari Enzo and Porsche carrera GT --projected 0-60 time of 2.9 seconds and a 217mph top speed. and now, the car porn: It's like a Murcielago and a Reventon cross-pollinated...and the ensuing offspring took steroids. Press shots: Live shot: Scissor doors return, thank God. 'nother arse-shot Engine Interior Intake detail carbon chassis
  2. boring
  3. congrats!
  4. BBT really is just *insert nerdy joke here*, some of the other is funny, but i only keep up with NBC's shows, parks and rec and community are more than 50% hilarious, still watch the office and 30 rock... I can't get into Parks and Rec, and The Office has kind of jumped the shark as of late, but I still enjoy the older episodes when Jim and Pam were still kinda awkward, Michael was still hopelessly inept (not that he still isn't) and Dwight was less of a dick-for-the-sake-of-being-a-dick and more of a brownnoser/knowitall. It used to be more of one punchline after another and another, but it's kind of lost all that lately. Community and 30 Rock are still pretty funny though.
  5. The popularity of Jersey Shore is all the answer you need to your last question. Don't get me started on jersey Shore. I'll be here for hours typing up a dissertation on how it offends me as an Italian. Supposedly, they'll be going to Italy or something, and hopefully the REAL Italians will tell those fools what a damn disgrace they are.
  6. Lol...or don't have it.
  7. +1
  8. My dad raised me as a Vette nut. I'll never forget the print he always had hanging in the hallway of a '63 Stingray SWC. That is what made me fall in love with Corvettes, and cars in general. We'd always been a GM Family, I was brought home from the hospital in a '72 (I think?) Chevelle, and we owned several Chevys since (and pseudo-Chevys, in the case of the '86 Nova we had). On my mom's side, my Grandpa was a dyed-in-the-wool Cadillac man. On my dad's side, my grandparents were all Pontiac people; My father's stepdad, the one I grew up knowing as "grandpa" on that side had a '69 Grand Prix that he doted over. The only time he ever used it was on special occasions, ad to tow his boat to and from the marina. His oldest son from another marriage got it after he passed away. That grandma eventually got a Cadillac as well, a pastel yellow Eldorado, that to my knowledge she still has, along with an '03 Grand Am. Now I own two Chevrolets (wanting a third! ) But mom doesn't really drive anymore, and Dad swears by the Ford Taurus.
  9. Go back to school and finish what I should have done years ago.
  10. I think the only two current sitcoms I like are Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother.

  12. OOOOOOO! Nice. I'll have the color GTS's up later tonight. The SRT may not be done in time...but with the extension, that changed from a "Most likely not," so I'll see how it goes...

  14. Jeff has no sense of humor. That was very obviously tongue in cheek.
  15. I can't stand that show. It's just not funny--it's depraved really. Charlie Sheen's just basically playing himself on that show; problem is he's a Grade-A douche. How the hell did it end up "the most watched show on television", or so they claim? Have we really gotten to the point that we're amused by anything?
  16. really? Cause I think the FF looks a bit goofier...plus it's not in chronological order.
  17. I was bored and this just popped into my head. I figured you guys could appreciate the humor (or lack thereof) I done another dumb thing, George... (maybe that should be "MUAHAHAHA'd")
  18. I'd like to too. I've never seen a shuttle launch in person either, and I'd love to see that.
  19. so who keeps the name? The corporation that owns Saab, the Sports car division, or both?

    Let's say

On my last road trip, I did Orange County, CA to Oklahoma City. Stopped in for gas in Kingman, AZ (320mi); Gallup, NM (330mi); Amarillo, TX (abt. 430mi; on fumes) and finally OK City (abt. 300mi with a little under an eighth tank).

    Let's say

right now, I'll stick with the good ol' Otto Cycle Internal Combustion engine. Electric is still far too new a technology for cars, though I must admit, it's making great strides in coming into its own. Perhaps when it become more contemporary.
