  1. A fine autocrosser, too, as I understand. They have quite the following.
  2. I just do not get this! Why would I want an over rated too small awd Asian import when there are better American made auto's? I understand the whole gamer angle and how people seem to be caught up in this car, but to me it is just too small and a waste of money. Never will get the whole ricer car thing. sure there are probably better-made, and definitely more-powerful American cars, but don't discount it because it's asian: it's won FIA World Rally Championships six times (three Constructors', three Drivers'). The only other make to win more was Lancia (10). And you know what they say about Racing. The car's certainly not overrated, and certainly not rice.
  3. omg it's a Miracle! ....that's actually not mine...
  4. oooohhhh, baby. A ferrari 360 Spider with a challenge grille. If only it were blue, it'd be perfect.
  5. you know what scent really repels mice? Cat.
  6. well, now from profile view, lexuses are Nose: interesting, if not provocative Everything aft of that: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
  7. ''When you're a challenger brand and you're No.4 [in sales], you can't afford to be evolutionary," so, what you're saying is, you're too scared to make yourselves not-boring in fear of losing sales because you're on precarious ground already? smart move.
  8. bloody hell, that's it! The bottom is all one flush piece with a few details, but I never figured it to be a battery cover for a radio. Wow. All these years I thought it was just a model...this is pretty exciting. Thanks guys!
  9. Along the same lines... ....but that is wicked awesome.
  10. I always thought it was just thousand island dressing.
  11. So my grandpa had an old model when I was a kid that I always liked, but I never knew what I was, only that it was a very old car, Pre-WWII. Well, lately, I've inherited it so to speak (he's been gone since '99 or so). I've been trying to find out what it was but I never had anything to go on, and I know precious little about prewar automobiles. It's a very old car certainly, I would guess around 1915, seeing as that was the year he was born. It's missing it's radiator cap, so if it had a car mascot, there's no way I could have known; but there is an emblem on the radiator housing/grille that has a red R inside a rectangle. Because of this, we thought it could have been a Rolls, but after doing a quick Google search the other day it is evident that it's definitely not (isn't nearly fancy or grandiose enough). Next we thought it might have been a Cadillac (he was a Caddy man, through and through; owned at least three), but again, it isn't, and again, wasn't nearly fancy enough. After image serches and more research, I fount out more about what it wasn't than what it was. REO? No. Buick? no. Chrysler? No. Ford? Probably not. Chevy? Definitely not. Alfa? didn't come around until the 30's; too small. Fiat? close, but not close enough. Rover? motorcycles, mate. I have no idea, but I thought you might, so I took pics: closeup of the emblem:
  12. interesting, to say the least. wonder if they just covered the body with plates, or went through the trouble of recasting the whole body with them.
  13. I have been in such a state of IDGAF-ness, but I'd never have considered doing that.
  14. bite your tongue, that Toyota is awesome... ...did i really just say that?
  15. I'd rather be taking refuge in a Pinto from a rabid dog, than drive a Versa. rented one once on a business trip, albeit, one from the previous generation. worst. car. ever. of all time.
  16. ..oh yes, and here's my favorite... No, it's not really my favorite; it makes my eyes bleed.
  17. Look up 'The Shocker' in the urban dictionary (It's a rather NSFW gesture). Was used on a '70s Datsun race car, BTW...2nd time I've seen a refererence to this symbol in the last couple days. apparently, there's some sort of motorsports/streetracing club that uses this symbol. I've seen it on a Genesis coupe that (used to) live in my neighborhood.
  18. honestly, they both need to grow up. this is old hat. somebody--whoever ends up with Saab--needs to just liquidate them and be done with it. I think that unfortunately, Saab is long past saving. not exactly the best scenario, but it's proably best for everybody. what else can be done, honestly? It seems as though Saab has changed hands--or almost changed hands-- so many times, it's hard to keep track. and every next owner knows that if they try to save it, Saab is just going to drag them down with it.
  19. I've noticed a lot more older Volkswagens banging around here as of late. ...and most on their own power, too! other than that, nothing of note...yet.
