  1. any American-car enthusiast worth their weight in motor oil knows what a Barracuda or a Hemi 'Cuda is. and you know exactly which cars they're going to remember: and when you hear the name Challenger--excepting the new ones--true, most people are going to think of these: but keep in mind that some people remember these abominations:
  2. i think that last one is a custom conversion deal.
  3. Happy late one, man. Sounds like you had a lot of fun.
  4. whoa, mama! clean and super low mileage! I think I'm in love
  5. I thought that some car lots had Lo-Jack-like tracking devices on their cars. Certainly BMW could afford to equip something like that to prevent things like this from happening.
  6. because nobody knows how to drive a manual. but honestly, hve any of you seen any Dart commercials or advertisements outside of a car mag? or even in one for that matter?
  7. what about the '74 Ventura-based Pontiac GTO? I like their looks a lot better than the '73 Grand Am-based GTO.
  8. holy hell, I was expecting a Mustang. I would try to save that early 70's Z28. She's too pretty for the salvage yard.
  9. lol, I know, but it's the only thing I can think of at present. How about GM-powered? though that one's probably not "largely forgotten" either.
  10. I'll buy it from you and drive it every day of my life... ...which if I ever got that car wouldn't be very long thereafter. But it'd be the best coffin in the world.
  11. Negative camber: great on race cars and wheelchairs; not so great for lawn mowers. I may have to try that trick on a few other wobbly-wheeled things I have around the house (not just the lawn mower).
  12. pretty good theory assuming they don't completely change the styling, which they likely won't. though it is a possibility. as for the engine, I'm also thinking it may possibly get the C7's motor, which is even better. the problem with that is though, that nobody's biting on the Caprice Interceptors, mostly because of the asking price, but also because of the Country of Origin issue (which is also a factor in the price, as it was with the GTO and G8.) So the innocenti will probably never think, "oh, that's just a copcar." they'll just think its another idiot speeding along in a sports sedan. granted, that is the one GM car that would be able to do it as below-the-radar as possible, but there's too much woring against it. I'm thinking perhaps the best car for the job, going on your theory of blending in with the cops, is likely going to be a Dodge Charger. If painted black, and loaded with extraneous antennae, it would certainly look the part of an undercover/unmarked police car. few people would think twice about it being anything else if it speeds past them. Also, there's the technicality that you won't actually be guilty of impersonating police because its not loaded with lights and sirens (or have the word POLICE brazenly emblazoned across it like the Bimmer did). On the flipside, the Charger is rather portly, and at full tilt, the gas mileage is going to be a problem. weight saving measures will need to be taken.
  13. serisously? being called a low-baller and a cheapskate for offering KBB value? me thinks you're not the one who needs to go eat a bag of dicks. seriously; their overpriced bikes can rot in their driveways until they grow a brain and lower the price to a reasonable amount. meanwhile you can always take your business elsewhere. preferably to a sane and reasonable person.
  14. definitely the WRX. pretty cool; can't wait to see what it looks like/how it performs, etc. but why do they bother covering the badges when we all know that they're already-on-the-market Subarus? Especially on the stock GR STi; that's just madness.
  15. that thing is HOT. I'd love to have one just like that. Good luck Intrigued.
  16. the X6 is the silliest car in the world according to Top Gear. But at least we know the glovebox opens in Australia.
  17. I find the 76 Olds strangely alluring. That air cleaner doesn't look stock, either. You know what it had in it?
