  1. The front license plate ruins the front. Hopefully the same is not the case for the Sky.
  2. Thanks for posting CSpec. It looks much better than the spy shots suggested, and the interior is very well done, IMO. It looks even better in the shot on the Cadillac website with the black and different color of wood. I assume the granite replaces the wood if you order it?
  3. The interior looks sweet. I'm going to bed early so I probably won't be here for the debut. Oh well.
  4. Ford has the Fusion, but also keep in mind Chevy has the new Impala and HHR that it didn't have running at full strength earlier in the year. However, the Tahoe might suffer because of lack of supply (change over to the 07), so that could set Chevy back. Should be an interesting race.
  5. Not to knock AH-HA, but he did say we wouldn't be seeing any concepts, and we're going to be seeing at least one in the Camaro. No one expects the Camaro to sell in big numbers, and correct me if I'm wrong because I haven't read all the posts due to lack of time, but I don't think anyone said that the Camaro is meant to be a mainstream vehicle. The Impala and others you listed all do 200k+ annually. The Camaro would be 80-100k from what I understand, which puts it in the range of 7-8k a month, meaning similar numbers to that of the Monte Carlo a couple years ago when it still sold decently. The Mustang, on the other hand, is at 190k annually, probably double what a Camaro will sell.

Haha, I thought about that, maybe I'll just change it to Northie but I think the Northstar engine will still be around for a while.

I think there's only one Ultra V8, but I don't know for sure. There's probably different output amounts and probably one for RWD and one for FWD (Lambdas get it and Cadillacs will, so it has to be either both RWD and FWD compatible or two versions). As for debut date, probably whenever the Lambdas debut (probably LA or NAIAS) so probably 2 months away.
  8. The first thing that made me think of was the new Infiniti ads where they just have a couple lines of the car, interesting.
  9. From what I read lately on CZ28, there won't be a Chevy sedan so that the Camaro will have the spotlight, but things can always change.
  10. Well, I've finally gotten around to starting a new comp, and I've decided to go with a RWD Pontiac sedan. This would be like a RWD Grand Prix or the replacement for that vehicle, something about the G6 that would take on the Charger Artists' entries should consist of at least two the following: 3/4 front view, 3/4 view rear view, and interior view. I've yet to make a deadline, but figure about a month and it could be extended depending on if people need more time.
  11. The Camaro won't base just under $30k, no one would pay $29k for a base Camaro, V8 or not. If that's GM's goal they'll name it Chevelle or something. Last I heard the GTO was on hold, so it's not a definite. Also, what's the point of having both a Camaro and GTO if they occupy the same $30+k segment? From what I've read, the success of the Camaro and Chevy sedan is what makes a Buick and Pontiac sedan successful, so the Camaro and Chevy sedan have to be high volume in order to justify the more expensive, lower volume Pontiac and Buick.
  12. The Camaro is in there because at this time last year they had sold 127 Camaros, so it goes into the total number of cars Chevy sold last year vs. this year.
  13. Saw an HHR last night in blue. I also saw an orange one on either Thursday or Friday.
  14. What if you traded in one of the two on the Lucerne? Your dad could trade the Bonnie and drive the Lucerne as the daily driver and then when you went on a road trip you could take the Lucerne and he could drive the Aurora. Another option could be getting a 2nd-gen Aurora as it would be pretty cheap by this time next year.
  15. I thought it'd be good to start a list of everything we might see this upcoming auto show season. This list isn't complete by any means, and I didn't list what show that each vehicle will debut at since most aren't known for sure. The one's with question marks are just guesses and are by no means for sure going to debut. Everyone can add to the list since I probably will forget a lot of things, so just post what I forgot then I'll edit this post. I decided to do it by corporation: GM Buick Enclave LaCrosse Super (?) 16. I didn't know that the CAFE was different if something was imported vs. built here so I'm not sure what the deal is, maybe ehasse can expand on what he said.
  17. Probably because they sell so few of them. There's a big difference between selling 30k Vettes and 100k Camaros if all the Camaros are V8s.
  18. I think they'll have a V6 Camaro for two reasons even if it's not necessary for volume. First, not everyone wants a V8, and that takes the Camaro off of their list if it's V8-only, and GM possibly loses a sale. Second, just because we'll have V6 sedans doesn't mean someone wanting a V6 coupe will buy the sedan. They'll probably just go buy a Mustang. Just because it's not needed for volume doesn't mean that it shouldn't be done. GM would abandon a large market if it just let everyone looking for a V6 coupe go elsewhere. Now, if there was a Monte Carlo/Chevelle with a V6, then maybe the V6 Camaro wouldn't be needed.
  19. Well, I'm finally getting around to catching up with the comps. Here are the results to the now-ancient Choppin' Competition 7 :P Here are the results: The winner, with 21 points, was BuddyP: In second place, with 18 points, was stlcadet11: In third place, with 14 points, was mygraphix: Congrats to everyone who entered and especially the winners!
  20. Welcome to voting for Choppin' Competition 10! If you entered the competition, you MUST vote. Artists should also not vote for themselves. Artists who do not vote or vote for themselves will be assessed a 4 point penalty. You get two votes, 1st place votes receive 2 points and 2nd place votes receive 1 point. Voting will end when I get home from school on Wednesday. Here are the chops: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
  21. Why is it you can't sit in the Solstice at auto shows but they're in regular production? I realize they've got 15,000 orders, but who knows how many people want to actually sit in them before they place an order? It could be 15,000 more people just waiting to be able to sit in it.
  22. Ok, since fuelsipping got his in the competition is now closed. I'll start voting in a few.
  23. I don't think any BMWs use the GM 5-speed anymore unless the 3er coupes still do, but yes, BMW bought the 5-speed auto (same one as in the CTS, etc.) for years.
  24. No, I think he's just talking about the production one. I just thought it was odd that we got on to production engines when you started the thread to talk about the concept.
