  1. When they drove the SS-V, they said it reminded them of the last M5. Zeta is that good.
  2. I don't think it's too mind-boggling that not many people have seen many new Malibus compared to the Accord considering that only 3k new Malibus were sold last month. Even if 1/6 of them went to any 1 particular state, that's only 500 Malibus in 1 state. Not that likely you're going to see one.
  3. The Traverse or whatever it will be called doesn't start production until late August or early September.
  4. I don't think there's really a replacement for the black ties. Everything is going to be integrated into each vehicle, so while some components here and there may be shared, I doubt any two cars that aren't at least on the same platform will share radios. (I could see the Silverado/Sierra still sharing, stuff like that)
  5. There's nothing incorrect about that. I guess you could interpret it to mean the sidewall, but if you say you have a "275 series" tire, that indicates its 245mm wide where it contacts the road. Do a search for "275 series tires" on google and see what comes up.
  6. First, I don't see how making it mid-engine raises the price by $55k. And if it does, we aren't seeing a mid-engine Vette, at least not the base model.
  7. Oh man. Remind me never to give you a PSD file for changing the color of a car again
  8. Totally awesome, and so badass! Time to go win the lottery.
  9. Most reviews complain that they aren't supportive enough, particularly when cornering. If I bought one of these, the first mod I would make is to put in some better seats.
  10. Black Atomic Orange Victory Red Velocity Yellow Blade Silver Metallic White (not a production color, just for fun): I can do more colors upon request.
  11. C&G would like to welcome Oldsmoboi and WildManJoe as Staff Members. We have nominated them to the Editor/Reporter position. We thought that the site could use some help so we decided adding some editors was a good idea. We hope that the improved C&G Staff will be able to serve the membership better and make C&G a better place to find automotive news and rumors. Congrats to Oldsmoboi and WMJ for their nominations!
  12. Captian - I'll try to figure out who you can send it to, probably Fly, but I'm not certain. We'll try to figure that out though, thanks.
  13. Just thought you guys deserved an update, so I'm posting one here. We are finalizing our selection for our new host, and hope to be done with that by tonight or tomorrow. We plan on moving the site to a dedicated server rather than a shared server. For all of those that would like to help with the move, you can donate to [email protected] on PayPal. We are not sure of the costs to move, but if we have extra money, that will go to hosting the site in the future, as well. Perhaps we could buy some spy shots as well, depending on how much the new host costs and how much money we receive. Right now, we do not have enough to make a move, but the Admins/Mods are willing to donate as well to make sure we can be moved, regardless of whether we have enough after any members donate or not. Please send a donation ASAP if you want to donate so that we can get the show back on the road and move on to a much, much better place. Thanks, C&G Staff
  14. Looks good. It will be interesting to see how they make the windows roll down if the side glass is really going to be kept the same.
  15. Zeta is quite a sporting platform... MT compared it to the M5, so I wouldn't say the G8 is really a sporty family sedan. It's definitely a pure sports sedan. That said, the Camaro will be sportier. I would guess the G8 GXP will be faster than the base V8 Camaro (assuming it doesn't get the LS3 as the base V8), but the Camaro will be lighter, so if it has the same engine it will obviously be faster.

    New 400 hp AMC Eagle

Perhaps it could be for air intake? It's not as bad as the CR-V, but it could definitely be improved.

    New 400 hp AMC Eagle

It's interesting, but a 5er wagon does the job just as well, looks classier, and probably performs better. It looks like rear visibility would be terrible... I'm growing tired of the same basic design in every BMW interior. Can they not make a new design except for every time a new 7-Series comes around? 400hp and 450lb-ft is quite nice, though not that impressive when you consider it has DI and twin turbos. I expect the UV8 (if it's 4.8 liters) to be over 400HP naturally aspired (if it has the same hp/L as the 3.6 DI it will have 405HP).
  18. The Dueler's don't come in the 245/65/17 size.
  19. I drove quiet a few 'balts at the dealership when I worked there. Most of them were not too impressive to me, but I did think the SS (not S/C) was quite a good ride. I think it was slightly under $20k (19.x) and had leather and a sunroof, so it wasn't a stripped-down SS, either. The 2.4 seemed much more refined and pulled better than the 2.2 models that I drove. I would recommend at least driving a 2.4-equipped car before buying one. Plus, the SS (it is now sport I guess) looks better, too. The EPA MPG is slightly less, but still 22 city is very good. I don't know what price you want to get one at, but according to Edmunds TMV pricing, the average price for a Sport coupe (which must have the steering wheel option standard) with the stereo as well as leather and heated seats and a sunroof is $18.8k, quite a good deal. If you don't want the sunroof or leather/heated seats, the TMV price is $17.4k. Personally, for $1400 I would get the leather/heated seats and sunroof, but perhaps it is not worth it to you. I thought the leather seating greatly improved the overall feel of the interior.
  20. Has anyone had the Continental CrossContact LX? It's $40 less/tire than the Triple Treads and is rated 4th in the category (TT is 1st). The tires that come stock on it are Continentals and those are rated terribly, 46th in category, but I guess it is possible that they make some quite good tires and some very bad tires. Thanks for the suggestions so far, keep 'em coming.
  21. We're probably going to replace the tires on the TB, and I've been looking through reviews, but it seems everything has about as many good reviews as bad reviews. Anyone have any suggestions? Want good handling in all conditions (obviously), smooth and quiet. It seems the Goodyear Fortera TripleTreds are genuinely liked by most everyone, but they're rather pricey.
  22. 5-6 inches is in the forecast. Wouldn't it be great if the university somehow decided that it was too dangerous to have kids out in this and cancel finals tomorrow and therefore I wouldn't have to take my Calc3 exam? Yeah, not gonna happen
  23. Looks like there are still leaves on the trees to me As for the car, looks like they did a nice job. If it was me, personally, I would probly not even paint the primer... looks fine from the pics. It's your car and it means more to you though, I know. The 95 LSS we have has a huge dent in the trunk (sister), the front quarter panel is cracked (sister), front end is no longer perfect (sister again), but we told the body shop to just do a decent job to keep the costs down, as it's not worth much anyways. I drive that car more than the GTO now, as I wouldn't ever park the GTO on campus for extended periods of time, and the LSS is a great campus car (it can't get much more beat-up), is reliable, and keeps the miles off the GTO. I don't know if that's the Prizm's job as well, but that's why I view the situation as I do.
  24. I suppose you could kick out the giant window better, but what if the car is on fire somehow and you need to get out and you can't kick the window out? In a normal car it is likely you will be able to open up one of the doors.
  25. Cool, but what happens when someone t-bones you and the door can't "move" into the same spot anymore? You're stuck?
