A straight man goes to a bar after work, after getting in the bar he realizes it's a gay bar, but he just had one of the worst days of his life. So he walks up to the bar and says, "Bartender give me a beer," to which the bartender responds, "Tell me the name of your penis." The straight man says, "Look man I am not into this, just give me a beer I will drink it then leave." The bartender says, "Not until you tell me the name of your penis." The straight man is thinking and thinking finally says to the bartender, "What's the name of your penis?" to which the bartender responds, "Nike, you know 'just do it'" The straight man is thinking and thinking and finally tells the bartender, "The name of my penis is 'secret'" The bartender says, "Secret?" to which the straight man says, "Yeah strong enough for a man but made for a woman."

Did the driver intend the car to go 0-60 in 5.9 seconds or was it on autopilot? It's nice to hear the numbers are up a bit. As has been mentioned, the weight is really bogging down the performance numbers, but I'd say it's a solid entry all around. Anyone know if this is the "updated ecotec"? I know they were supposed to get updates sometime in 2012--just didn't know if it was for MY 2012, or in the actual 2012.

Mercedes-Benz Close To A Decision With Maybach
Paolino replied to William Maley's topic in Mercedes-Benz
I think you mean July. -
Three construction workers are working on a tall building when they break for lunch. There's an Italian, a Hispanic and a Polish guy. The Italian opens his lunch pail and says, "Uffa! Spaghetti e meatballs again?! My wife, she'sa gonna kill me... if I eat this one more day, I'ma gonna jump off the side of dis building and kill myself!" The Hispanic guy opens his lunch pail and says, "Ay! Tacos y burritos again?! If I eat this one more time, I'm gonna jump off the side of this building and kill myself!" The Polish guy opens his lunch pail and says, "No! Sausage and perogis again?! If I eat this tomorrow one more time, I'm gonna jump off the side of this building and kill myself!" The next day comes and the Italian guy opens his lunch pail and sees the spaghetti and meatballs and he screams, throws down his lunch pail and jumps off the side of the building, killing himself. The Hispanic guy takes a look only to find tacos and burritos and lets out a scream and plummets to his death. Sure enough, the Polish guy looks in his lunch box, finds the sausage and perogis, jumps and kills himself. A couple of days later, the wives of the three men meet at the funeral, all crying hysterically. The Italian man's wife says, "If he justa tol' me I woulda make something different! Now he's gone! The Hispanic man's wife agrees and says, "I know! I would have happily made him something else if he just told me!" ... and the Polish guy's wife exclaims while sobbing, "I just don't get it! He packed his own lunch!"

I'm assuming that can be modified through the DIC as some mentioned here. It seems to have the same DIC as my parents' Lucerne and I'm able to alter anything down to the volume of the startup chime.

I don't know if I'd call it a con necessarily, it's just different. I do know what you mean though as I went from a Buick to a Hyundai, and I kept turning the lights on thinking I was going to turn the wipers on (the wipers in the Buick were the left stalk which require twisting to turn on, and in the Hyundai they're on the right, which require knocking the stalk vertically to turn on, twisting to increase/decrease the intermittent speeds). It didn't take long to get used to it, but for the life of me I still can't get used to a floor shifter. I reach for the column at least once/day

There is nothing I like about the looks of the Genesis coupe. I, too, agree it should have had its own name.
-
Sounds like you're right--it won't just be the Police package but the general public's Impala too.
-
It also can be the gas you put in it. I've noticed that I ALWAYS get better fuel economy when I drive home from NH. My friends always said the same thing. Maybe it has something to do with driving "south" so, gravity helps you
-
They don't have the supply for the new Civic. There was a whole article about it.
-
$4.19. Which is odd because a half hour east of me it dropped down to $4.01.
-
Coupe? Hatchback? There are so few of either one because nobody buys them in the USA anymore, especially hatchbacks. Maybe in Asia or Europe, not here. I see TONS of Honda Fits around...
-
I dislike that I'm getting such poor fuel economy since I put the Buick down. I'm stuck in a 2006 Sonata V6 and I get about 350 hwy miles in one tank. I'm averaging 23-25mpg highway with the a/c on. My Buick used to get 27-28mpg with the a/c on... and the a/c was much colder!

2011 Buick Regal CXL and CXL TURBO (UPDATED WITH TURBO MANUAL)
Paolino replied to regfootball's topic in Reader Reviews
Well, from what I've read the Regal has a very different driving style than the LaCrosse... more "German sports car"... the LaCrosse is a bit larger and on the cushier side, so some pricing overlap is not terrible when you tack on options. -
Speaking of the Riviera... it still looks good today IMO.

I frequently consider getting an 09-10 Lucerne with under 30,000 miles on them because they're a steal and they have the 3900 (which affords a little more power and refinement over the 3800). Oldsmoboi recommended it highly--my parents have the Lucerne with the 3800, which although is quiet, it definitely is unrefined especially for the target it was aiming for. From 0-10mph (so every time you launch the car from a light), the sound/vibration resonates in the cabin. I've spoken to others with the 3800 in the Lucerne and they say the same thing happens, but from what I understand, the 3900 doesn't do that. My only gripe with the 3900 is the low fuel numbers reported, so I'm hoping it returns higher-than-advertised economy as the 3500 does. It'd definitely be a great daily commuter!

These are all really good additions... I just test drove a Regal Turbo with the T7 package and even got it down to the payments I wanted but buying it in the middle of my move just wasn't feasible. The two things that really got to me though were the lack of remote start and the push button start. I don't really want/need push button start, but if I'm going to spend 34K on a car, I definitely want the remote start and the option of the keyless would be nice. I really think this is a great vehicle and these little improvements are going to help a ton. The new ports will keep it in the family too, and I really want to test the GS before I buy anything. I'm guessing the GS is going to be sweet. And I completely agree with you on the remote start... I absolutely must have it on my next vehicle.

LOVED the Roadmaster. Always wished they kept it and could see what it evolved into today.

Mercedes-Benz Ponders On Whether To Bring The Vito To The US
Paolino replied to William Maley's topic in Mercedes-Benz
Yes and then Lexus would add something pointless to it so they could coin "First ever..." -
Is that backwards? Do they mean the new 2013 Malibu and 2012 Impala? 2011 is the last year for the current Malibu. 2012 is the last year for the current Impala (it's getting the 300hp V6 for 2012 remember?) 2012 is the first model year of the new Malibu going into production very very soon. I thought it was getting the 302hp V6 for 2012, and isn't new until 2014? Aren't they talking model years and not actual years?

Mercedes-Benz Ponders On Whether To Bring The Vito To The US
Paolino replied to William Maley's topic in Mercedes-Benz
They'd probably appear slightly different here. You see all kinds of Mercedes vehicles like that in Europe... it's not just a luxury brand there. BLASPHEMER! I still remember the Mercedes "cab" that took me from the airport to my hotel in Rome at Mach I. If it had wings we would have flown. -
