  1. Honestly, they don't look like SUVs to me, they look like ugly boxy minivans of the 80's. With GIANT snouts and reak of mediocrity when compared to designs and features of others in the segment. The only one that comes close to offering luxuries that others offer is the Terraza.
  2. No, if you look above, it was already stated the base would be the 3.6L with the 6A. I say Thank God... now that's competitive! :) As for people saying the Terraza is selling well, I just wonder where? I still have only seen 1 on Long Island - and it was UGLY imo.
  3. Sounds interesting. I can't wait to see official numbers.
  4. I had NO idea the grand prix had wood?!
  5. How do you really feel about the LaCrosse? :P
  6. Hmmm... didn't notice it. I am just going to have to wait to see more pictures of this car before I make any judgements. I hate the exterior, love the interior. But maybe I'll like the exterior more and dislike the interior more when I see better pictures. We'll see.
  7. Thank God. Maybe people will start to look at Buick as a premium vehicle again.
  8. Are you sure?
  9. YES! Absolutely!
  10. absolutely on the gauges, but with a traditional Buick color... just bluish/green LED, maybe with white needles like the LaCrosse has. A little pizzazz. Maybe a small LCD screen for the trip computer, various functions, etc, instead of the dot-matrix thing.
  11. Well, I'm not saying the Lucerne's interior is horrible by any means--I think it's a GORGEOUS interior. I just think it needs just a tiny bit more to be perfect, or to stand out a bit. I would have loved to see something "unique" in the Lucerne. I would have loved to have seen a new direction for gauges--say, extremely high-quality, classy, LED gauges. Something different with a new direction for Buick. But, again, I feel the Lucerne has that whole "transition" element inside it. And as much as has been changed, there's still part of it allocated towards the older crowd (which isn't stupid). I await next year when the 3800 is out and the 6A is in. Let's see what other little changes will be in store. I doubt any others, but who knows?
  12. Arg. People won't be happy until the entire interior is made of real wood and Jell-O. I admit some surfaces should be soft/squishy, but c'mon, not everything. I would love to see the doors treated with suede or something to that effect. Maybe a Buick insignia embossed into the suede? Something classy, something to stand out. How about lighted door-sills? Chrome door sills with the word "Buick" illuminated in the same blue as the IP and other lights? Or the word Lucerne in chrome somewhere in the dash.

    LaCrosse Feature?

Well, last year the Park Avenue Ultra was the only Buick to have that feature. I personally don't really feel the ventiports would do much to the appearance of the LaCrosse. I definitely wouldn't want to see a hood ornament. The only reason I'd want to see ventiports on a LaCrosse is if they offered a V8 as an option. Then give me the same deal as the Lucerne, 3 on the 6 and 4 on the 8.
  14. Now if only GM could make their Radio/HVAC controls integrate as nicely as Timex and Toyota have done here I wouldn't complain.
  15. Whoah. Not sure what to think about that?! I can't believe they wouldn't give up the car!? I wonder which model it was?

    Good Kills?

    I drive a Buick Century. I race ride-on lawnmowers.
  17. Whoah... what light sensitivity issues?! The fact that I hate people who drive with their brights on during the day? (yes, I see it more than one could imagine) Or large trucks with their 30 foglamps and lights on in my rear window in the dead of night? Those to me are legit.
  18. It's true... I bought a Lite-Brite there last year and the plastic pegs were so soft and spongy... you could tell it was a Japanese-made Lite-Brite vs. the hard plastics the American-made Lite-Brites use. ^_^
  19. It's the integration with the radio controls (and HVAC) with the center stacks that need to be worked on.
  20. OMG! That really happened?! I was going to crack a really bad joke about that!!
  21. I'll say one bad thing about the car--That nose is horrendous. It looks like it melted a bit!
  22. Honestly, I just don't see it. I see a very dressy interior on an affordable car. I see a MUCH nicer interior than I've seen from GM in this segment in YEARS.
  23. Can we hope for a refresh next year though? I mean, I would imagine so--the car has been out for 2 years, and the new 6A is out as well as the 3800 being removed... I would just think they'd do something for the 2007 model year as the LaCrosse will be revised completely for 2009.
  24. If it's true, then they MUST get that quality faux wood in the LaCrosse. It would help. That, and a center stack adjustment.
  25. I'm afraid I don't :( Then again, I've never used a shower clock/radio before! :)
