  1. I’ve met and dined with A Horse With No Name and trinacriabob. Good guys.
  2. Yeah, it's a special place to me... I haven't lived there in 40 years, but have managed to visit at least once a year and go to some of my favorite restaurants (incl. a great pizza place called Di Carlos) from 2015-2019. Went a couple years ago for a dedication of a plaque at the high school dedicated to my Dad and his name on a brick downtown.
  3. Sunny and 23 here now...looking at the forecast it's going to be cold over the next week with the coldest (nights around zero) on the 12th and 13th. Only a little over 6 weeks until Spring, though...
  4. That they do....maybe the aftermarket make chrome scoops to put over the black C-pillar trim or simulated louvers.
  5. Yep, it was established in 1923 by immigrants from Italy. One of the oldest restaurants in an old Ohio River steel town that had a lot of Italians, Greeks, and other immigrants. My folks lived there for a decade when my Dad was superintendent of the city school district.
  6. Good cold weather comfort food. I'm going to try and make one of my favorites this weekend--meatball heels using Italian bread, meatballs, pasta sauce. It's a specialty of Naples Spaghetti House in Steubenville, Ohio..one my childhood favorites from living in the Ville in the 70s.
  7. I like this track 'Blinding Lights' by The Weeknd. Not that familiar w/ him, but he's going to be on the Super Bowl halftime show this Sunday. This song is very catchy, and I like the Merc AMG GT convertible (and there is a '60s Lincoln in one scene..)... red is a prominent color in the video (the bleeding guy opening scene is a bit weird).
  8. postmodernism
  9. Sooner or later, I want a Challenger... F8 green, V8, manual. In all it's chunky glory. Got to get more garage space first, though.
  10. So he is definitely a Florida Man.
  11. 'Monstermax'....Florida Man builds diesel Silverado boat. https://drivetribe.com/p/florida-man-drives-his-monster-dYuR1h-ZQGuTSjFscnDpYA?iid=a3kBRwz2QHqFQVKgzAyuOw
  12. I can see using PSA platforms for the smaller Jeeps that currently use Fiat and Alfa platforms, though. I have no idea where PSA is at as far as BEV development though. Interesting times. I love the Charger, Challenger and 300 as they are now. Love their V8s and heft. Kind of hard to imagine where they go next.
  13. It would be problematic to try and use any existing PSA platform for a performance Dodge, though—if I’m not mistaken, all their current platforms are FWD transverse engine generics. Nothing of value.
  14. Looks like Balthy needs a bigger garage with all those vehicles out in the snow...
  15. Got a bit of snow overnight, still coming down intermittently. But we got off pretty mildly compared to areas further east I believe. Neighbors appear to have a GMC Terrain in their driveway that I hadn't noticed before.
  16. It's really best to put ocn in your block/ignore list. He contributes nothing of value to any thread, and is only here to act as a troll. I have him blocked, but once in a while look at his posts for a laugh.
  17. Always liked the roofline on the 2dr Chevelles of that generation.
  18. Snowy and 32 now...this weather definitely has me dreaming of trips I want to take once the world gets to a 'new normal' and I feel like getting on a plane again (2022? 2023?). I want to take a couple vacations to places I've lived before... Want to go to Denver...see friends, see some of my favorite places..go up in the mountains. And I want to visit Marathon, Florida and the Florida Keys..see my old neighborhood, visit old friends...enjoy the sunsets. In the short term, I'm getting psyched up for my new job that starts Feb 8th. New technologies, new company, new adventures in WFH.
  19. Sometimes it's not that the glass is half full or half empty, but that there is no glass..the glass is only imaginary.
  20. Sharks, alligators, hurricanes...all part of the weirdness of Florida. Florida Man doesn't fear them, though.. Though for all the craziness, I do have a fondness for the Florida Keys, Miami and S. Florida in general... and the writings of Floridian Carl Hiaasen, who I saw announced his retirement from the Miami Herald yesterday. His colorful novels set in Florida are often hilarious. I'd love to have seen Miami and Miami Beach in the 1940s, when my father spent 4 years stationed at Miami Army Airfield with his work in the Army Air Forces Transport Command there and in the US Virgin Islands.
  21. Future's So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades
  22. Though I'm more into rock, pop, '80s synth pop, and grunge, I dabble in country music, and I do like Garth. Another more recent country singer I like is Chris Stapleton...great voice and storyteller.. Fire Away: Parachute:
  23. Some other cause... overstressed the transmission, rusted lines, etc? Maybe it was a poorly maintained worn out truck...
  24. Chateau Club Wagon would have been an answer for big families in the 70s... Slope? Or the 1st truck backed up into the 2nd one after spewing it's crap...
  25. I bet it won’t have a big touchscreen or trick door handles like a Tesla though.
