  1. True enough... it's a scary place to the uninitiated, no doubt.
  2. Cool...I love old British cars... back in Ohio, near my Mom's place is a white '60s Cortina...it's been sitting outside a garage in this small Ohio town for at least 15 years...would love to have the time and place to tinker with it.
  3. Hmm...never heard of that. Since I can't see my pooper, I don't know what color it is. I have taken care of the insides, though, with Colon Blow <tm> Colon Blow
  4. One would think so..the car isn't competitive or remotely up to date now, I can't imagine how dated it will seem if unchanged 5 years from now..
  5. I saw a sharp gold w/ black top '72 Ninety-Eight 4dr ht on Hwy 1 in the Florida Keys a week ago Sunday. Neat to see those old yachts being driven.
  6. Also saw a strange early '80s Caddy Coupe de Ville 'El Camino'. I don't know if it was a modified flower car or a custom, but I just caught a quick glimpse of it in traffic.
  7. 5 more model years of the W? Same old, same old? 4spd automatic? I guess GM has a long term contract w/ Avis to provide 'em...
  8. My favorite Eldos are the '67-70s, but I like the mid '70s convertibles for their outrageousness, their aircraft-carrier dimensions...last of the truly huge land yachts.
  9. I saw the 'stealth' Century again today..I've seen this car every day over the last week, it's a late '90s Century painted flat black all over---wheels, grille, chrome trim, etc. Reminds me of an OCP Taurus from Robocop.
  10. Of course, every generation has it's tacky accessories. The big thing when I was young was the tinted headlight covers, bras, and huge windshield banners with the make or model on it. I never got into that crap, though..

    jones soda

Ya...in college I drank mass-market beer, but in grad school I discovered European beers, started drinking Belgian and German beers..and when I moved to Colorado, discovered microbrews, something that Co is known for. I avoid the mass-market stuff whenever possible. Though I do like a lot of Mexican beers, great for summer.
  12. I'm curious what the US Buick model line will look like in a few years...maybe a SWB Epsilon II to replace the LaCrosse and a LWB Epsilon II model to replace the Lucerne, and the Enclave.. (assuming that Epsy Dos replaces the Epsilon, W, and G platforms, unless GM is developing a new larger FWD platform, which I doubt. Or how about using Lambda to design large crossover sedans? ).
  13. I definitely don't like the concrete-hard dash or door panels so many cars have today..if they spent a few more $$ for softer interior plastics, it would be a big improvement. Hardtops are nice to look at and fun, but in reality, with air conditioning, how often do most drivers really drive around with all the windows down? Not to mention a HT Camaro would weigh as much as the convertible, and the coupe as it is is no lightweight...
  14. I wonder if the US will get a Buick Delta II, i.e. a Cruze or Astra variant.
  15. Yes, I can understand that... the '50s through early/mid '70s were their great era, at least as far as products go, IMHO.
  16. I usually get a regular Fatburger w/ cheese and bacon, skinny fries, and a strawberry shake. They do basic burgers (no Red Robin fancy stuff) quite well, IMHO. Tasty. Interesting about the hot dogs... I'm not much of a hot dog fan, though I like the Hebrew National ones at the ballpark when I go to a baseball game.
  17. When I lived in Florida in the '80s, there was one of these, same color combo, very rusty...the body mounts to the frame must have been rusted out, because the body sat maybe 10 degrees or so off of straight..so it looked very wierd going down the road.
  18. And of course the Grand Cherokee and Cherokee, which were hits. They convinced me to buy a Jeep, and I've been very happy with my '00 GC.
  19. Such is life...compromise is everywhere. Nothing is pure or completely focused.
  20. I've always liked the LHes... I loved the styling back when they came out for '99 (the 2nd gen models). Very comfortable and smooth cars..I rented quite a few Intrepids, 300Ms, and LHSes from around '99-02.
  21. Probably $3000 or so... a similar one on ebay went for $3200 yesterday. The car is very clean, bright red, black leather interior--no cracks in the leather or the dash, some wear on the wood on rear console, though.
  22. I'm betting it will be Regal or Invicta.

Cool..I think I've seen Stewart at Wild Oats. I'm not a big soda fan, but once in I while I like a good one.
  24. A few friends have bought them in the last year...one guy (25) upgraded from a Civic to a G35 sedan, the other (38) went from a Maxima to a G37 coupe, loves it. I've ridden in both, they are very nice cars, and a third (35) went from a Cavalier to used G35 coupe. I'm looking forward to the Camaro, and the CTS coupe... I'm leaning strongly towards the CTS sedan being my next new car.
  25. Anyone remember the turbo LeSabre coupe from '78? I haven't seen one of those in at least 25 years.
