How to get your landlord to hate you.
not allowed. If I keep the deposits in an interest bearing account, I have to return the interest to the tenant at the end of the lease term. It's too difficult to keep track of so I don't do it.

How to get your landlord to hate you.
To date, I have yet to have to give back a security deposit.

How to get your landlord to hate you.
The walls are white but she still put so many holes and did so much damage that I have to paint the place again. The worst was the apartment next to this one. Albert and I use that former tenants first name as a descriptor of how dirty something is. "How dirty? Sadeeka dirty!" You know those beads people sometimes put in children's hair? I have a very rude, very un-PC, very likely to get me sued somehow, name for those beads because of that apartment.

GM Fights to Keep Opel Division as Politicians Pursue Spinoff
Opel definitely seems to be bottom of the pack out of all the major German brands. While VW doesn't have the cred to go up against Mercedes, They are respected in a way that Oldsmobile (the brand) was respected here. They build good cars, but nothing exciting and certainly not Mercedes level. Where as Opels are the Plymouth of the homeland brands. I'd go out on a limb and say that Ford of Europe is more respected by the Germans than Opel is.

had this tenant not put so many holes in the walls I wouldn't have to repaint the place because it's otherwise fine.

GM Fights to Keep Opel Division as Politicians Pursue Spinoff
While I have to stick up for Opel in that I think the cars they are building now are excellent, I also have to say that the non car enthusiast Germans that I speak to do not think very highly of Opel. They seem to be looked at with about as much respect as Plymouth was here in it's final years.

Mercedes E Class Coupe Moves Ahead of Geneva Debut
if by "hottest car at the Geneva show" they mean "hot mess".... then yes.

Toyota Yaris 1.5
Indeed. I've never driven a Malibu, but if it's like the V6 Aura I drove one could easily do worse. I'm sure the HHR would have been a nicer drive than the Yaris.... but it doesn't sounds like that bar is set too high.

Pictures!
The 90's called, they want their joke back.

Toyota Yaris 1.5
Unless you specifically needed to lock the trunk and have the contents be hidden, I don't get the trunk issue with the PT Cruiser or HHR. Turning down an HHR in favor of a Yaris sedan because you need a trunk is like turning down a TrailBlazer for a Malibu for the same reason.

GM' Bowling Green expansion on hold
I understood that Wilmington was way under capacity with just the Kappas being there. Wilmington used to pump out some of the high volume cars.

And then they wander around the desert for 40 years trying to find paradise only to be sniped at and attacked by the locals....... yeah, there's an idea.

SAAB Files for Bankruptcy
If GM didn't have Saab, Saturn, Geo and had kept its fingers out of Fiat, we'd still have an Oldsmobile.

Any car from any company in the world, off the shelf with no modifications other than U.S. spec engines, here would be my Pontiac lineup of Affordable Performance. Mini-Cooper S (Sunbird) Opel Astra OPC, Sedan/Hatch/5-door/Twintop (Sunfire) Alfa Romeo 159 Sedan/Wagon (Alpha platform anyone?) (Grand Am) Pontiac G8 sedan, coupe, wagon, ute (renamed Grand Prix) There isn't a current full size out there that I can think of for a Bonneville, but a LWB Zeta with appropriate upgrades would do nicely. Saturn Sky (Solstice)

GM reveals production Cadillac CTS Coupe in Viability Plan
Think the car that the CTS coupe will hurt the most in sales will be the G37. The BMWs are either too small or too expensive comparative to the CTS. Remember, the Eldorado was pushing around 20k units right up until the final two years. I still think the CTS coupe is targeting a currently untapped market. edit: As for the Deville, this is purely personal observation, but in addition to being completely out of style these days, even old people are being much more practical with money.

GM reveals production Cadillac CTS Coupe in Viability Plan
Frankly I'm surprised at some of you being so venomously against this car. The G8 ST, Cruze, Orlando, and Equinox aren't my cup of tea, but I still want to see them being built.

GM reveals production Cadillac CTS Coupe in Viability Plan
Because the Cadillac isn't selling the CTS to just previous CTS owners. If CTS sedan sales drop by 10,000 when this coupe comes out, then maybe you'll have a point, but if sedan sales remain steady and coupe sales are additional then Caddy is stealing sales from somewhere..... and it's not going to just be grandpa trading in Eldorados en mass.

Considering I was less than 1 year old for 90% of 1979, do you really blame me for feeling the way I do about Pontiac?

I agree that Pontiac has potential. The G8 and Solstice were a great start to that. I just disagree "Pontiac means performance" when I know most of the Pontiacs sold in the last 30 years were the one you were objecting to people posting in here.
