  1. There is a guy out there <likely more then one> that took the nose off the Custom Bruiser and swapped it onto a '96 Impala. He did a few other mods to the tail lights and even went as far as changing the steering wheel so the airbag emblem was the Olds Rocket. It's a badass looking 98.
  2. I'm hoping for something exciting in the rear seats too..
  3. If you can go with cable instead of DSL, do that. Otherwise, yes DSL is minimum 2x faster then dial up. I get about 4000kps downloads from comcast.
  4. It's not mean if it's true. It's not that the cars are trash. It's that many of the drivers of said cars are trash.
  5. 1. Tie: Sky/XLR 2. Aztek 3. Chevy Classic
  6. GM thought that disappointed loyal Olds owners would head to Buick or Pontiac. Well... they didn't. Those people bought an Olds because they wanted an Olds. Example? Mom loves her Aurora, used to have a Bonneville but would never consider trading back down. Buick is too blue-hair for her. She wants FWD, so there goes STS. I predict her ending up with a Montego.
  7. Aurora Camry Riviera
  8. Well now I know where the idea for the CTS headlights came from.....
  9. Gay guys are just as interested in cars as any other guy. I think the difference here is that this site seems "tighter" and we could all probably hang out and get along in real life rather then just on a msg board. I think a few of us broke the ice with our sexualities, and that made more people <BV for example> comfortable with being open about it. As for telling other gay guys about this place. I've told my other car head gay friends about this website, but as far as I know, none of them have logged on.
  10. We don't care about sexuality.... but look at all the Chryslers you've had..... not sure if you'd be welcome here. <j/k> :P :P :P
  11. There are more "yinzers"* driving Grand Am's then you can swing a dead cat at. *yinzer - A derogatory term for a white trash Pittsburgh native based on the fact that they use the term "yinz" instead of the word you.
  12. Again, it's not really hard to design the car when you already have most of the major components designed and all you need to it put a pretty skin on it.
  13. Here are the poll responses: 1. It's not the size that matters 2. that's a good size 3. that's a perfect size 4. 5. you are not putting that thing in me! 6. woah
  14. Germany happened.
  15. It also shows what frequent minor refreshes can do for a car. Look at us all sitting in here nodding in approval at a car designed in 1997.
  16. Some of us are just more aware of size and where we will and won't fit.   :P
  17. Bling sells
  18. That's a fairly nice interior for a W-body
  19. Intrigue.
  20. Plus, much like GM's 3800, Toyota throws the V6 from the Camry in just about EVERYTHING with a V6 engine! Nissan does the same thing with the VQ Ford does it with the Duratec. Sure the displacements might be a little different, but the overall engine is so similar as to be nearly idential.
  21. NAV should be offered simply because it could be a high profit option for GM that acutally has value to the customer.
  22. I'd feel like I was piloting a shuttle pod from Star Trek!!!
  23. Reg, in case you haven't noticed over the past 20 years or so. Engines and transmissions are developed seperately from the cars they are finally put in. The 3.6vvt was "late" for the CTS and Rendevous, but exactly on time for the LaCross, STS, and Aura. Toyota almost ALWAYS releases engine updates mid-cycle. The current generation of Lexus ES started as an ES300.... today its an ES330. The Northstar was first introduced in the final years of the Allante. The CTS-v didn't come out till the CTS's second year. The Hybrid GM900s won't be out till about 6 months or so after the standard ones are. Honda's Accord Hybrid wasn't available till 3 years after the body style came out. BMW's Bangle M5 wasn't available at the Bangle 5-series launch. There is precedent for not releasing the new engine with the new platform.
