  1. Who blinks first...?
  2. Fap, you can get a replacement launcher without rooting. I use Nova Launcher on mine in place of TouchWiz.
  3. 4.5tt hmmm, so the Elmiraj motor could be real.
  4. I.hope it doesn't have the 9-Speed from the Cherokee...
  5. Flat paint is a repair and maintenance nightmare. Hand wash only. It gets a ding and it's done.
  6. 4 cylinder flagship can still sell in China were those type cars are mostly chauffeured. Cadillac has an XTS with the Turbo 4 and I believe bmw does too.
  7. You'll find plenty of friends here I'm sure. Welcome on board.
  8. I was speaking to the Volt's propulsion capabilities. The gas engine being there isn't a statement about electric cars, it is a statement about electric car recharging infrastructure. When charging facilities are even half as plentiful as gas stations, the need for an on-board regeneration capability becomes unnecessary.
  9. Lots of Taxis.
  10. I'm probably going to be springing for a new set of Michelins on the CR-V in a week or 3. Only got 30,000 miles out of the 80,000 tread wear life rating, so hopefully Michelin will be picking up most of the tab.
  11. Why wouldn't it be? The Acura NSX is considered a super car and the GTR blows that out of the water.
  12. I'm on my 3rd Android here and only on the first one did I have those problems, but it was a very early device. The second device was a great phone crippled by a horrible network. I've been very happy with my 3rd one and my tablet as well.
  13. I dunno, the tC is a pretty decent car too, but there is no reason it couldn't be a Celica.
  14. The Tesla Model S is in the high $60k range, will out perform a 550i, and can recharge in 30 minutes. The Roadster could walk away from an Audi R8 like it was standing still. A Volt can do 0 - 60 in the same time it takes a 2.5 powered Malibu and that is mostly software limited. I'd say we're a lot closer than you think.
  15. Although how as the E250 Bluetec? One day when I no longer want a big engine, that 45 mpg is going to be really tempting, on a 22 gallon tank I'd fill up once every 5 weeks I bet. Atrocious... a civilian issue Checker for the new century if there ever was one. The interior is dreary, engine refinement is poor, though acceleration is very good for what it is. The engine refinement is so bad, right in the 2,000 - 2,500 rpm range under heavier acceleration, there is a hard vibration noise not unlike an old Civic with a loose catalytic converter heat shield.
  16. I was wondering how soon it would be replaced in the ATS as that was all that was talked about in that car last year, but it is in the new CTS as well, so I guess it is sticking around. Reg is right though, simple and effective. At least it doesn't look ancient like the Benz gauges.
  17. I don't think your timeline is accurate Ocn.... Electrics are coming faster than you think and like.
  18. "We ran out of places to park them" doesn't wash with me.... Sorry Serg... The time to get it perfect is before you build 9,000 of them.
  19. And Dan's "ribbing" means nothing... Elon Musk is worth a few billion and knows he is building an Apple-like fan base. He's willing to lose the money for now to dominate the market later.
  20. Yes they do. They make the Spark EV. But the implication Dan "foot-in-mouth" Akerson is making here is that he wants Cadillac to make a Model S competitor. If any of the big companies do it, I would expect it to be GM or Toyota. They both have the most experience with the battery systems needed to pull it off. Toyota is in bed with Tesla at the moment though, so they might not be able to pursue such a car due to some agreement.
  21. There's more money in selling blinged up "off-road" Tahoes that spend all their time in the mall parking lot.
  22. Well there is a 4th mode as well for snow, but yes, near as I can tell from my short time with the car, you can't control the items individually. However, as I mentioned in the review, the Magnaride is so good that Track mode would still be suitably comfortable for most people even on long trips, so you can have your cake and eat it too. Also as I mentioned in the review, the material quality on the CTS is a step above the ATS. They didn't just lift the interior out of one and put it in the other. There is a noticeable difference. I also drove the E250 Bluetech and an E350 Estate/Combi/whatever. MB is actually behind Cadillac on interior material quality in those two cars... especially on the dash.
  23. That's fine. GM can do their own Diesels... .though I'm surprised FIAT would need VM.
