  1. If it could deliver the fuel economy with the power - so far TTV6s haven't shown the capacity to do that. One or two miles per gallon isn't a significant enough advantage to make this a viable idea. The Ecoboost V6 does pretty well in the F-150 when you keep your foot out of the boost. Heck, I got 27mpg out of an AWD MKS Ecoboost. The naturally aspirated model does no better on fuel economy and had a lot less power on tap when needed. When the LSx V8s can best that, it doesn't look too impressive. The LSx V8s are in full size AWD sedans? Did I miss a press release?

  3. I have changed the server file upload limit to 3mb.
  4. I think you need to find a Sonic or Cruze with a manual and turbo and learn on that. They are just about the easiest manuals to drive that I have ever driven.
  5. Just have to resize the picture below 2mb.
  6. At least BMW doesn't promise differentiation...
  7. What is the destination city?
  8. Wasn't a big fan of the tagline. I like "American Revolution" and "Heartbeat of America" better.
  9. We've been very happy with both of the Ideapads in this house. Albert's Y510 is 4.5 years old and just starting to show signs of age (hinges are lose and can't be tightened up any more) and my 3 year old U350, which has been all over the world with me, will be making its 4th round of auto shows over the next few months. Nary a reliability issue with either.
  10. ATS coupe is already in the cards for production. I don't think we'd see it any sooner than April in NY, but next November at LA is more likely.
  11. No concepts... stick with stuff heading towards production.
  12. I'm all for taking money from fools if there are enough of them, but you'd have to prove that case. I seriously doubt that you can, especially as applied to Corvette. If built, these would languish on lots, hurt the image, and reduce resale value. Just a really bad idea all around. The assertion that this is what the market wants is more than suspect. How can you know any of that without knowing what the performance of the V6 Turbo will even be?
  13. No, it doesn't. Because like it or not, there are people out there who like complexity and do not see it as a vice.
  14. Corvette needs to go after anyone who has the cash.
  15. taking its sweet time...
  16. Didn't the Corvette start off as a 6-cylinder? Aren't you the one always talking about more variety? Aren't you the one always talking about the high price of cars these days? Wouldn't a new lower cost Turbo-V6 base model Corvette be a way to bring in a younger set of buyers?
  17. Sweet! I hope you upload some pics!
  18. Why not? People buy V6 GTRs and flat-6 Porsches all the time.
  19. The only thing he might miss is the ability to put the spurs into it at highway speeds. The Passat is a big comfy package. If they ever make a larger TDI engine for it, that would really address my only complaint. They could put the Audi 3.0 TDI in, but I suspect Audi wouldn't like that. So make a 2.8 TDI version to use in the Veedubs.
  20. What we know so far. Releases: Corvette Sierra/Silverado BMW X4 Infiniti G Lexus IS Cadillac ELR Lincoln MKC Toyota Furia Concept Honda Fit-based crossover
