  1. I don't think Saturn is getting RWD from anyone...
  2. Yeah, I saw one of those commercials last night and thought, "Ha-ha, GM's got you beat already!"
  3. Let'em race, when the Camry is associated with white trash the same way the Monte Carlo is, we'll see who laughs last.
  4. Thats...actually really cool.
  5. I just can't get over why GM has all that black plastic around the Nav and HVAC units.
  6. 3000 lb-ft of torque at the wheels?! Holy $h!!
  7. Yeah, people that don't have money shootin out their ass. :AH-HA_wink:
  8. Car and Driver comparo between the XLR-V, new Jag XKR, SL65 (or maybe 55), and a couple other cars. The XLR-V got that disclaimer.
  9. $2.34 for 87 in Lexington.
  10. Hey, I betcha gas prices won't go down.
  11. This is all soft and curvy, to me. Sure, the grill is large and in charge, but its just frumpy looking all around, to me. Its size is the only thing helping its masculinity rating.
  12. Its still a girly cute-ute. And while all of these small X-over utes are sold mostly to girls, at least the Escape and Torrent come off as more unisex appeal, if not slightly masculine.
  13. Its definitely not nearly as bold as the new Silverado or Sierra are, its retained the soft looks of its predecessor, just bigger. It MIGHT manage to match Camry sales. Which would be rather funny, IMO. What happens when eco-friendly Toyota sales as many trucks as it does cars? Hmmm... Cuz I bet it won't match the GMT900s in fuel economy.
  14. Hell, they have a FIFTY inch Zenith (which is just a rebadged LG) on sale for $1900 retail. Zenith 50" Plasma My cost on it is $1700. Thats a good freakin deal. LCDs for the same price, retail, are 10 inches smaller. Although, the Zenith is a monstrous 115 lbs.
  15. CompUSA has a 42" HP plasma HDTV for $1800 retail. Even considering plasma's longetivity and burn-in issues, that may be a deal too good to pass up.
  16. You ain't kidding. CompUSA is a Ford fleet partner and from the auto in our Econolines to the auto in our Focus, they're all miserable. Won't downshift, or will downshift and then IMMEDIATELY upshift. $h!ty $h!ty $h!ty. And my wife's 06 Escape is the same damn way.
  17. After seeing the new Silvy and Sierra, I am not impressed by this truck. Exterior is dumpy looking and interior is overdone, even though I would like to see the same piano black treatment for GM center stacks, but oh well.
  18. The wife and I are considering an LCD or Plasmas flat panel, rear projections are just too big for our little apartment plus we don't like the view-angle issues with RP TVs. From what I've seen, and I work at CompUSA installing home theaters, among other things, Sharp, Samsung, Sony, Phillips, and HP are probably the best when it comes to either technology. Sharp Aquos LCDs in particular seem to be the best LCDs. Samsung plasmas are really good, as well. We'll probably end up getting a 35-42". I get everything at cost through CompUSA, so it allows for bigger TVs since that usually means about 25% off MSRP. I'll let you know what we end up getting, if we make a decision soon.

Cobalt greenhouse, Caliber front, and Charger rear do NOT make for a good looking car.

  21. That were inspired by two AMERICAN engineers in the 50s. As if the Japanese EVER pioneered anything on their own...
  22. Lexus loosing its luster? If it weren't for the IS, Lexus sales would be down dramatically. Only the ES posted a gain vs last year and ALL of their SUVs are down. New GS is down, LS is down, but may be anticipation for 07s. SC is down, ALL of their trucks are down. Lexus needs new product.
  23. Great job, GM! Amazing what competitive product can do for your marketshare, eh?
  24. The Tacoma is kicking ass and taking names.
  25. If every GM vehicle had as much passion and caring built into it as the Solstice and Sky do, GM would have no worries about their future. They were giving a Sky away at the autoshow I went to over the weekend ($100 tickets, I didn't enter) and I got an upclose look for the first time. Its easily the best overall vehicle GM has built in a long long time. Its execution, from exterior to interior to drivetrain, is flawless.
