I agree Biden is great, if it hadn't been for that oops in 88, he may have been able to beat the first Bush and the second Bush would be doing coke in an ally behind a bar in Dallas right now instead of finishing up 8 years of ruining the world.

The tv/dvd combo wasn't my idea, but I gave in cause I'm a wuss. The sunglasses are a weak spot of mine. The long lost pair was 3 years old, and I'll miss them, they fit my head perfectly.

Just this weekend: $200 sunglasses-Lost (replacement cost: undetermined, but looking online I'm thinking $300ish) $80 tube TV-destroyed (replacement cost: $900+ for a 26" LG LCD/DVD combo) $20 dvd player-destroyed, in a separate incident (replacement cost: see above) Cant wait to see what the rest of this week costs me.

I was a little miffed when Obama went with Biden, it seemed like an affront to his change message. A non-D.C. politician would have reinforced his message. Then McCain picked an outsider and I saw what could have been for Obama, and how brilliant the choice of Biden really was. Its almost as if Obama knew that in picking Biden, he would force McCain to make a "bold" choice, and that choice may have killed his chances.

If I had to, I'd give up eating to keep digital cable, its just that awesome.

We aren't the world's babysitter. Thats way too much pressure for a country that cant keep its domestic problems in check. Bring 'em home.

U.S. troops dont need to be stationed in Germany. Or in Japan. Or in Cuba. I see the need for troops in South Korea, and obviously in Afghanistan, but otherwise we need to pull those troops back, they're a drain on the taxpayer.

Ridge would have also reinforced the Bush III argument and absolutely killed the "maverick" image that McCain wants to have.

I once say a Toyota 4Runner (mid-to-late 80's model) at a dealership with a tag saying they wanted like $7-8.000 for it. So I went online, and the truck had a stick and was 2wd, book value was like $2k. The worst part, is, it sold. It took a while and I bet they didn't get what they wanted, but it sold.

Ridge and Lieberman would have had the opposite effect on the party. Palin fired up the base, Ridge (pro-choice) and Lieberman (the only policy he and the Mickster have in common is the war, everything else, he's a Dem) would have caused a revolt in the party and the convention would have turned into a riot. Minneapolis would have been destroyed by all the religious gun humpers. Romney is worth like $300 million, Democrats would have had a field day if the Republican ticket owned 20 houses between them. Pawlenty is just as unknown and inexperienced as Palin, so you go with the "shock value" pick.

I think both candidates would end the no-bid crap that G-Dubs has been allowing.

Watch the part where Obama mentions that McCain wouldn't meet with the leader of Spain, you can hear McCain saying "horse $h!" which was probably Micky's finest moment of the night.

Agreed, he just kind of them them go on. McCain got really bad with the rambling a couple of times.

This debate is tough to watch because of that.

A small, RWD/opt. AWD/coupe/sedan/convertible/wagon/4 cyl./turbo 4cyl./6 cyl/manual/automatic would cost money that GM simply doesn't have. How many 3-Series did BMW sell last year? Not just in the U.S. but worldwide? The cost would have to be spread out, Pontiac isn't a world brand and U.S. sales wouldn't be high enough to justify that kind of investment. So why wouldn't they just take this car and give it to Buick or Cadillac, both of which have a presence in China, which is a huge market?

A MINI-competitor can come from any brand. Same with an Alpha 3er competitor. Thats my point, there is no Pontiac. There is no Chevy. There is no Saturn. They're all GMs wearing different clothes.
