  1. Torrent yesterday. Meh.
  2. Congrats NOS, I was turned down by Kettering a few years ago because I hadn't taken a chemistry class and didn't have a 3.0 GPA (at the time it was like 2.93). And yes, they are very selective and expensive.

    Alcohol

    schnapps, total chick drink
  4. Great name. Not really a bad car per se, just a company that was poorly run by a guy with some bad luck.
  5. If the do go forward with a Torrent GXP or 'Nox SS, it probably wont have the same engine as the Red Line. I doubt GM can get enough engines from Honda to build each Theta with the Honda motor. I'd bet on the 3900, or the 5300, since GM seems to like putting it into things.
  6. Toyota is going to offer to buy GM for one hundred billion dollars. GM will decline and say they will give Toyota $50 to break the knees of every UAW employee. Toyota will accept. Knees will be broken, the UAW will go away and Toyota will be $50 richer.

Beer tastes bad, cheap beer tastes really bad. I have a friend who tried to get me drunk by buying me a lot of liquer whenever we go out, usually alternating tequila and long islands, neither of which I particularly enjoy. But she's buying, so whatever.
  8. I was thinking the other day that Metro would be a great name for a Smart-like city car, but GM had to ruin the name by putting it on that shitbox, although I guess it was kind of a city car, it was just a pile of crap. Skylark was ruined by those pointy-nosed things Buick tried to sell.
  9. These maps aren't really up to date, at leas not for around here. There are things missing that they started building three years ago.
  10. Just the normal slew of British roadsters. It was pretty nice yesterday, even nicer out, perfect weather for an old Jag, Triumph, Sunbeam or that dark green Lotus Elise I've seen a couple of times. The Elise had the goofy looking top on it yesterday morning, not sure why.
  11. Where to start. I like the smell of pickles but cannot stand the taste. Nothing from McDonalds will enter my mouth for the rest of my life. I'm not big on seafood. I love most Chinese foods and anything I can get at the one good Japanese steakhouse 'round here. With all this discussion about nuts, I cannot go without mentioning Cashew Chicken, which was invented here in Springfield (or so the story goes). People around here say you cant get good Cashew Chicken anywhere but here, when the truth is that you cant get good Cashew Chicken anywhere, the stuff sucks.
  12. Giordano's is freaking orgasmic. I love the stuff, no matter what is on it. You can mail order pizza from them off of their website.
  13. Optional 22's, I was hoping for 26's.
  14. Other than "Whats the stupidest question you've ever been asked" what is the stupidest question you've ever been asked. I had a chick at work ask what "ball funk" was the other day. She once asked what rasisina are made out of, but I wasn't around for that. Worse than that, a few months ago, sitting in the lecture hall waiting fro my Bio class to start, the gil who sat behind me asked if lettuce was a plant.
  15. MTV is for tools. Its like 18 hours a day of Beverly Hills 90210 meets Big Brother followed buy the overnight 6 hours of 50 Cent, the Killers and Kelly Clarkson videos. Entertainment for the mindless. That includes Pimp My Ride, which is watchable because it is so laughable.
  16. Those at least blended in, at least in the later years when they were just impressions in the sheetmetal. The GM badge sticks out and looks really bad on cars that happen to be painted in dark colors.
  17. I cheated.

    SATURN VUE RED LINE

Honda wasn't mentioned anywhere in the press release announcing the original Red Line or the "new" V6 going into the VUE.
  19. Boxster?
  20. Yeah, its that whole freedom thing. People can buy what they want. If they can be easily influenced by the media, then so be it. What would you be saying if people were told to buy Big Three? You wouldn't be calling them sheep like you do people who buy imports. It really isn't the media's fault that GM has produced many undesirable cars over the last few years, it is actually the fault of the "Buy American no matter what" mentality that led the Big Three to be happy with the status quo while Toyota and Honda made vast improvements in quality, refinement and desirability to the average consumer who just wants something to get from point A to point B. It doesn't need to be RWD, have 400hp or look exotic. It needs to be cheap to run, reliable and people have to not dislike driving it every day for the next 3,4,5+ years. AS lot of GM cars are cheap to run and reliable, they run into problems with t he wanting to drive thing. Poor ergonomics, cheap everything on the inside, floaty nauseating rides, and so on. Those things make people not want to buy cars.
  21. GM paid the supplier and would have (hopefully) approved the design bfore putting it into thousands of vehicles. I can design a tailgate latch and be the lowest bidder, I would hope GM would see that I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to tailgate latches.
  22. The 6th pic shows the headlights lit )I think) and they're square (I think).
  23. I have no box in which to stuff a baby. Think about it for a second. If you are trying to wash your brain out with soap, then you got it.
  24. :withstupid:
  25. Who has to look up sodomy? My senior year of high school, in my english class, the discussion turned to a couple of then recent attacks at a local college. One of the attacks was a rape, the other was forced sodomy. One of the guys who sat behind me didn't know what the difference was, so he had someone else ask. That person said, "for the benefit of this corner of the class, whats the difference between rape and sodomy?" That was one of the highlights of my life right there, absolute hilarity.
