  1. Yeah, I use them for backing up, I use reverse a lot (work) and have to use both mirrors to make sure I dont veer off onto someone's lawn. I dont use them much on the highway, I got into the habit of swinging my head around to check my blind spots when I had mu huge-ass Dakota. You have a better idea of how much space you have by looking directly at something and I dont think turning to check takes long enough to be dangerous, unless you are riding the ass of the car in front of you.
  2. That reminds me, I need to update the sig. God, I still cant believe that list. Bawitdaba is on it. Ok, seriously, that song was decent for that week when everyone liked Kid Rock, I fell for it like every other high school freshman did. But I grew up, apparently nobody from Blender has. Well, that really should be a given since Avril, Britney and the Backstreet Boys are all on there, yet I only saw one Green Day song. And why so much Outkast? My brain is now sad.
  3. Passenger side mirrors were optional on Saturns until '93 or '94.
  4. It looks like a frightened Aztek with a fabric roof.
  5. Damn it Feels Good doesn't get the respect it deserves, since most people know it from the movie Office Space where it is edited if I remember correctly.
  6. Very long list, I wont bother to copy it all over here. I will say this, some very very not good songs on it. Clicky for full list I have to admit, seeing Too Drunk to F*ck on any best songs lists is awesome, Hunger Strike should be higher than 471, Jump by Kriss Kross (seriously, wtf?) The list is bogus, complete crap, like four good songs on it. We should destroy Blender magazine. I mean come on, the list has the Macarena in the top 200.
  7. He is a joke, he was very prevelant about 3 years ago, you couldn't get away from his constant BS. Then he went away for a while, and now his site is back in the mainstream, stolen photos and all.

    Jeep Commander

Has Chrysler ever come out with fake wood that doesn't look really strange? Every Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep that has fake wood has the stuff that looks really fucked up, and not in a good way.
  9. Automatics started to become the transmission of choice back when most cars did have a manual as standard equipment. It just seems like the added expense of changing the "little things" in a car to pffer it with a manual doesn't make sense for maybe 10% of sales. I loved the idea of having a stick, I wouldn't have bought my car (the aforementioned failure of a Saturn) if it hadn't been a stick, but now that I've had it a while, I kind of wish I had gotten an automatic. When you think of a manual transmission, you think sporty and fun. Realistically it is red lights every quarter of a mile, heavy traffic, and one more thing to deal with on the morning commute. People want automatics, and I kind of see why. The demand for manuals is limited to enthusiasts who do not make up anywhere near the majority of the car buying population.
  10. Good point. GM should do it anyways just because it would show that GM has the best selling midsize car, they just offer it with several sheetmetal and interior options.
  11. By being a joker, a smoker and a midnight toker?

    Soooo damn sick!

I'm sick of the weather. One day its 55, the next its 80. I'll be getting sick if this shit continues.
  13. GM should take a page out of Toyota's book and count all W-body sales together, all GMT-800 trucks together, all the SUVs together, etc. Then we'll see who has the best selling car, truck, etc.
  14. Its cool, no biggie. BV: Be careful what you wish for, this place could be very different without several of our "pests." And remember that everyone has a different ida of who is annoying and brings nothing to the site, so who knows, if that happened we could have a lot of people banned, yourself included.

    Minimum Wage

Wait, I thought all black people sold drugs to make money. Settle down, its a joke, making fun of a stereotype, blah blah blah. I'm happy to say that I have never worked for minimum wage, I've never gotten really far above it, but never worked at it. I make $6/hour right now, but that is less than half of my income, since my tips and comissions work out to be about $8-10/hour. I've been lobbying for a raise, it just seems wrong that in a two week period anywhere from $1000 to $2000 will pass through my hands, yet my paycheck from that same period will be $350-$400. No wonder I steal from the company any chance I get.
  16. Hardwood floord are easy by now, I've done a lot with them. I helped my friend build his house, I learned a lot from that experience. I've done a little electrical work in my life, no plumbing work at all. I'm getting a great deal right now (free house, utilitiess paid) otherwise I'd be living in my preferred setting, a 2-bedroom apartment where I dont have to do anything.
  17. It was distractingly funny? *Squeeze* I loved it!
  18. What will become of OHC vs OHV arguments that we get into when not filling time with Camaro vs No Camaro and BOF vs UniBody?
  19. Camaro, seriously, what will all of you bitch about if it comes back?
  20. Hell, I've been thinking about taking on bigger monthyly payments in the form of moving up from the Saturn to something a little...um....nicer.
  21. I will be sure to use perfect formal english from now on, just to please you. Jackass.
  22. Raz has a point, the theory behind it is good, but theories have to be put into practice by humans, and humans are easily corrupted. Robots would work well in union labor.
  23. Saturn has never turned a profit, true, but the brand did allow GM to stray from normal business practices. Trying something different can lead to good things. The no-haggle pricing, unique cars, unique dealer experience, the UAW contract, those are all things that could have spread to other brands if GM had any clue what it was doing. They tried these things, some worked and some didn't, without messing with the reputation of an established brand. GM fucked up in the way it handled Saturn, starving it for product when the pretty hot selling S-series started to slide off, the VUE has been holding the brand up for a few years. Saturn didn't kill Oldsmobile, GM did.
  24. With strong unions driving up expenses for companies, there is no reason for any company to not ship jobs overseas. There aren't enough jobs at McDonalds to go around, you'd better get yours now, you're going to be there for life anyways. We need to find some sort of middle ground, halfway between the unions raping the companies like now and the companies raping the workers like in the early 20th century.
  25. Reg isn't in CA, nobody in CA would be so obsessed with bitching about RWD in the snow.
