  1. We haven't discussed a pimp-wares allowance, so thats up in the air.
  2. So far opinions are split. One camp says keep the Buick because I love it and have put quite a bit into it, plus I bought it for a reason and the Conti wouldn't be nearly as good a kayak hauler.. The other camp says move on to the Lincoln because I'll love it just as much, and it'll give me a new challenge that I can tackle, unlike the problems with the Buick that are beyond my ability. All Jill said was that its my car and I can do whatever the hell I want. After I emailed her the pics, she asked if I'd like a purple velvet suit. I do like the idea of a pimp stick.
  3. I spent about $300 on the 350, I bought it off a guy who had it rebuilt, put it in a car then wrecked the car, pulled the motor and stored it for just about forever. I gave it new seals, gaskets, plugs, wires and filters and dropped it in. A variety of issues prevented me from doing everything I wanted, like an Edelbrock intake and carb and dual exhaust.
  4. The Buick only gets about 10mpg, so that would be a wash. It would probably get a little better if I could figure out where the hell the fuel leak is.
  5. C4C guidelines kill most cars I'd be interested in, like the Mustang. If Patriots existed, I'd strongly consider one, the only other car to really grab my interest that I could get through C4C is the Clubman.
  6. Everyone says its a bad idea, but the Lincoln is so freaking cool, plus it'll probably have more monetary value later on than the Buick.
  7. Hell, I'm pretty sure the small kayak will fit in the trunk.

    Jeep Patriot

I dont recall the last time I saw a Compass in person. I thought they discontinued it like a year ago.
  9. I had a co-worker with a Mark IV and I loved that car, even tried to buy it off him a few times. I love these Continentals, but I love the Buick, so I'm torn.
  10. A gentleman with a '76 Continental Mark IV needs something more family friendly and was wondering if I'd be interested in a Continental for LeSabre swap. I'm interested. What do you guys think? '89 LeSabre Estate --151,000 miles on body --12,000 miles on rebuilt 350 --Fuel leak (source unknown) --Random electrical glitches --AC doesn't work in spite of having been charged '76 Continental --85,000 miles --Needs new vinyl top (no rust as far as I can tell) --Needs radiator --Clean white leather interior --Power accessories all work --Needs AC charged
  11. M5 without a second thought.
  12. I can tell you from experience that MINI > Camaro.
  13. "Do you know how to say, 'Better...or worse?' in Swahili?" Me to Jill after she said something about joining Doctors without Borders. I proceeded to reel off Optometrist jokes for about 5 minutes.
  14. I accidentally [noun] is fun from time to time.
  15. I've used that on a nearly daily basis for the last 15 years.
  16. My last full semester, I'd walk around with at least 3 textbooks, 2 notebooks and my laptop in my 10 year old L.L. Bean backpack. Worked just fine, I'm no worse for the wear although the bag could probably be replaced.
  17. I believe you have my stapler

    Audi A3 TDI

I actually like the A3 more in person now than I did a year ago. Not sure why, its just aged well in my eyes.
  19. Thats bad, but I dont think anything says "I'm a huge dork" like those rollers.
  20. I went to Indianapolis once. Ate at a steak place (Sizzler I believe) and spent the next two days vomiting. Still better than a weekend in Cincinnati.

    Audi A3 TDI

The MINI is more practical if you live in a crowded city, smaller, easier to park and so on.

    Audi A3 TDI

Linkypoo I didn't know Audi was planning an A3 diesel until I stumbled across it on their website. Pretty interesting idea, hopefully its not priced above the A3 3.2.
  24. The only thing I like to see in Missouri is the "You are now leaving Missouri" signs. This state sucks hard.
