  1. There is something Post Apocalyptic about this thing!---Its EVIL!!---I like it!
  2. WOW! I just saw one like that in a recent car show! It was a 74 in the same color scheme and everything!
  3. LOVE IT!! Its in BEAUTIFUL shape! Reminds me of my old 69. Boy I miss that car!
  4. Today's RWD ZETA Holden models in size would fit in just fine along with the future larger versions of ALPHA for the Chevelle sub Chevy brand. The Genesis and 300 models would better be competed with by a Buick then a Chevrolet anyway! Let Chevrolet do the proposed Chevelle line while Buick do the longer wheelbase version of ZETA for a new Roadmaster model to compete with the 300/Genesis. And for the new upcoming premium Cadillac GM is now working on a new more fitting RWD platform that is more premium in fitment then ZETA! ZETA should not be used by Cadillac with its strut type front suspension system when Double-A-Arms are needed for such a premium model!
  5. Why could Ford not have kept Mercury around as a limited and special maker of retro automotive beauty like this! Just think of a modern incarnation of this car built on the Mustang platform and sold in limited numbers to REAL car guys like us! Mercury could have had something unique and special instead of just redressed Fords!----One can dream!
  6. I still long for a RWD Chevelle sub brand initially based on ZETA by Chevrolet! They could do a sedan a wagon and the return of the El Camino being all of these body styles exist today for Holden! With Pontiac gone a Chevelle sub brand by Chevrolet would be a wonderful way to use the ZETA platform. Then later replace ZETA with the lighter ALPHA to continue the RWD Chevelle brand of Chevrolet!
  7. That's one stately and classic ride that I would love to cruse around in!
  8. I hope they eventually replace the 3.6L LFX V6 with a DI Turbo 3.0L V6 with 330-350HP. That would put out more Torque then the LFX and better compete with the present and future competitors! Eventually Cadillac should be all DI Turbo across their range.
  9. That would be properly competitive with the good Torque #'s GM is able to get with this engine!
  10. I hope so as to be competitive they use the 270HP-295FT,LB or Torque version from the Regal GS. Then that GS could get a boost to 300HP. 220HP will not be enough with the new 2.5L putting out nearly 200 itself! Even though I do not believe that Hyundai/Kia is truly getting 274HP from their 2.0L I4 its perception that counts more then reality in this competitive market!
  11. I am looking so forward to this car! If they can keep the weight down and offer an all turbo/DI engine lineup starting with the 270HP 2.0L I4 as the base engine they could have a world beater here!--Please GM do the right thing power train wise here!
  12. I do believe Buick needs a Regal Coupe more then Chevrolet needs a Malibu Coupe! Buick wants to pull in more youthful customers and a sharp and sporty personal Regal Coupe could do that! I would offer the 220HP 2.0L Turbo as the base engine in the Coupe version as well! Although I do admire the looks of that pictured Malibu Coupe Buick needs it more! And a sharp wagon version of the Regal would be nice as well!
  13. I do wish the bar across the Chevy grill was better centered then it is on most of the models! It looks strange and excessively high on some. The over all idea I like but the execution could be better! As ocnblu stated the idea worked for Chevrolet before and done correctly could again!
  14. AWESOME and MAJESTIC ride! A Guy down here in jax has one that's a red Convertible. And another guy has a 60 that's black like this one! LOVE this vintage of Pontiac! WIDE TRACK BABY!!
  15. Camino LS6 is correct here! The choices we have in RWD are limited to the extreme! How long has it been sense we could go to our Chevrolet dealer and buy a Mid Sized RWD Sedan with an I4 or V6 engine! The early 1980's!! To talk about the best sellers being FWD is not fare when that's the (ONLY) Mid Sized affordable choices we have in our market! Just think of a RWD Chevelle line of affordable models with a base I4 and opt V6 engine! Even a V8 SS version all sized like the upcoming Malibu except with the front axle moved forward to allow for a longitudinal engine and trans mounting! The drive could be sent anywhere to ether axle or both for that matter! If they were to do this design for the next generation platforms the market could open up to far more RWD cars in the U.S. both affordable and not! Someone needs to get some guts and do this! And GM is the perfect one for it!
  16. Well, Ford started their SYNC w/ the cheaper youth-oriented cars first rather than the premium models...Cadillac may have it as an exclusive at first for a year or so, but it will spread..telematics are becoming a very important product differentiator for many consumers. Telematics can be a driver distraction, though. I could see myself trying to read email, Twitter, view latest posts on C&G, Facebook, play Farmville, etc while at stoplights..(I do the 1st 4 on my phone now at stoplights, no Farmville app for Android that I've seen yet). Well they should have two or three versions of this Tech with the most premium version only offered on top end Buick's and all Cadillac's! I do not want to see GM turn into Ford with high cost Fords and affordable Lincolns! With a loaded Flex costing as much as and even more then some versions of the MKT!
  17. I wish GM would take the Alpha platform and do a less expensive version for Chevrolet and Buick! Then in the future do the next generation platform as a flexible FWD-RWD-AWD platform. They could move the front axle line forward allowing the engine to be placed between it and the fire wall. Then from there they could offer various drive lines with the engine and trans positioned like a conventional RWD car. Then just send the power to the front wheels for one model and the rear wheels for another and all the wheels for another. If they did this across the platform line it would allow them to offer more product to more buyers through more choices! This would change everything from the common FWD only market we have today on far to many cars! Open it up GM and rule the American road once again!
