I am sure GM has already looked at this ten times from Sunday and have found they are better off with RWD and its own FWD platforms. If there were no down side they would have done wide spread by now, I figure weight and cost would be issues involved. They did build a platform somewhat like this in the late 1960's through the mid eighties but it was more complex then it needed to be! With the new stronger yet lighter high strength steel and other modern tech with a foundation like Alpha they could easly move the front axel line forward with a new front clip forward of the firewall and begin the idea from there! How could it cost less to develop two unique platforms for FWD and RWD when one would do the job? That does NOT add up!

I still wish GM would do a new series of platforms that could be both RWD or FWD! With the front axel line positioned ahead of the engine with that engine-trans positioned like in a RWD car. That way the power could be sent to what ever end per brand or model across the GM empire demands! Why spend all the extra money to develope different platforms for FWD and RWD models when a flexable component set to build both off of would be better? With Chevrolet and Buick the standard models could be FWD with the high performance models offered in RWD form within the same model's on the same flexable platform! With Cadillac RWD and AWD could be offered the same way across the lineup! With two flexable new platforms one to cover the sub-compact and compact models and another larger one to cover mid-sized and full-sized ones for Coupes,sedans and crossovers ect! Just think what could be done with a new and fresh platform series like this!!

I like that unique and evil ride! Being that that platform was never available with anything near 400HP makes it something special! Good for the owner-builder! Sweet ride!

It was the U.N's and the Global Governments replacement for the black choppers! They had to replace them with these weird vans due to budget restraints! I hope they dont come for me now that I have exposed their secret!

Not a fan of the nose job! They should have used the headlight treatment from the Sonic and given it a more stylish grill! Perhaps combining the upper and lower grills into one larger and more imposing one reaching to the edges of the more Sonic like headlights! Give it a serious and imposing FACE GM to back up the power!!!

These should be performance versions of a new RWD/AWD Regal replacement built on Alpha in Coupe,Sedan and wagon body styles as a return of the Regal family of models! The sedan should be sized between the Cadillac ATS and the upcoming next gen CTS so as not to truly compete with those models! The GNX should be a coupe only Turbo 3.6L V6 version while a gen 5 V8 version should be a retro muscle GSX with unique styling and features!

It would be less stable if it were the other way around!

I think thats a 1950 Chevrolet slope back with the trunk open! I had one it was a 2Dr. Hardtop Deluxe with a Powerglide and a 235 and I truly miss that car! To have it back in pristine condition with that cute and feminine girl with me would be a wonderful thing indeed!

Interesting idea! But if you are to change out all those parts who not just develope some DOHC 4VPC DI heads? Or even better yet just take the Altra V8 off the shelf and Turbo Charge it for modern Cadillac use! Cadillac truly needs and deserves its own DOHC V8!

I am not a fan of the kick up at the lower rear side window line! It interupts the flow making the bed seem as if it does not belong! Both on the extra cab and the crue cab version it looks silly and distorted!

I just wish it were not so FREAKIN UGLY!!

That was AWESOME!!! To bad Max Headroom did not ride along!
