  1. [quote name='moltar' date='Oct 17 2005, 06:40 PM'] I'm all for full access to healthcare...why should someone be denied healthcare because they can't afford it? It's a basic human right, IMHO.. [post="30397"][/post] [/quo Guess What junior , there is a law in the formerly free United States . You cannot be denied healthcare due to your ability to pay . Since hardly anyone pays these days , thus you have a health care crisis . A TOTAL JOKE . thanks FDR , Jimmy Carter and BJ Clinton
  2. Great , Gas is now 2.56 a gallon in Jersey and we sold a couple of more Denalis today , SUV sales are going to come back because SUVs RULE .
  3. All that taxpayer dough to finance a sale to Benz - great
  4. You are proposing the end of the free enterprise system - stinking communist
  5. Who's finanacial standpoint , certainly not MINE . 53% of all healthcare in this country ( US) is paid by the government , GOVERNMENT IS THE PROBLEM . Your Socialist views towards healthcare are misguided , taxpayers get ripped off enough in this country , time to scale back all of these "entitlements " we are going bankrupt .
  6. I am sure Smokey's 421s were nowhere near production stock , He also said in 68 his Chevelle had an inch and diameter fuel line that held five gallons of fuel , he drove the car home from the track because nascar would not allow the Pure Oil guys to fill the Chevelle with fuel after the car initially passed tech , but the Ford and Chrysler brigades saw the car and knew they were beat , and complained to France Sr and Smokey got a list of changes required which started out with , Install stock frame .

    Toyota

or the fact they are a Class leader , which they never are , or innovative for that matter .
  8. I bet the 05 GTO with 400 hp could break 165 mph , the Turbo TA of 89 was quick , in the 12s if you got it cold enough , but I am not sure of top end . We all look for acceleration in the US
  9. And Warren Johnson's GTO Is almost in the 6.50s ..NO TURBO NO BOTTLE
  10. We sold one today , 19,346 on the sticker . Cheaper than my 2.4 grand am in 2000
  11. Hey Siegen ,I see your taste in trucks has improved . Have a nice weekend
  12. Oh , to struggle with only 87 k a year , that masters degree in HiLo operation does not go far anymore .

  14. Continuing - Variable ratio power steering First Fuel Cell of any kind 1968 van first turbine car 1955 prototype jersey barriers hydraulic lifters Heard of VTEC -does honda hold the license on this ? Because everybody has it now and I am not sure if this is their innovation . What the heck is a super handling awd car , because Honda does not make a super handling anything if IMA is the Hybrid scam , did you electromotive division of GM has built locomotives for years , same technology , sans batteries , and if it so advanced how come Toyota currently owns that market ?GM has had night vision in Cadillac since 2000 and I believe they were first . GM sold off what used to be the worlds largest Diesel engine company , Detroit Diesel , but through it's Isuzu division makes the most powerful pickup diesel V8 , Duramax . Honda is a small wonder , but do they build their own transmissions ? Roots Blowers rear coil spring suspension 1958 air cooled engines 1925 cross flow radiators calcium plate batteries hybrid bus hybrid full size pickup electric power steering 88 fiero electric power brakes 1984 gn turbochargers 1961 f 85 and corvair high flowing mufflers the greatest engine ever built - small block chevrolet - nascar version puts out 158 hp per liter , just an 850 cfm carb
  15. Sorry , Aluminum block V8 fall of 1960 , buick and olds 215
  16. Back when Honda was hiding the Check Engine lamp under the seat ( not good for emissions but really helps the CSI ) congress basically adopted GMs diagnstic system and mandated that EVERY car maker uses GM diagnostic system as it is the most extensive and thorough of Anyones . But Honda is high tech . Cruise Control Distributorless ignition Alternators Serpentine belts Inertia lock safety belts tinted glass satellite radio the 8 track affordable abs power steering power brakes fuel injection for the masses 1957 synchronized transmission
  17. Honda - Short on innovation - Long on sales *sigh*
  18. GM had a non production small block aluminum V8 in 1963 , a production Aluminum 427 ZL1 in camaros and corvettes in 1969, when Honda made their Laughable Motor bikes , cranking out over 500 hp , every Cadillac V8 since 1985 has had an aluminum block . Short List of technology pioneered by GM that Honda uses - Self Starter Air Conditioning Automatic Transmission Turn Signals Electric Headlamps Timing Belts Air Bags Crash Test Dummies The Catalytic Convertor The list can keep going on , but hey , Honda doesn't need anybody , RIGHT ?
  19. The" Japanese cars are the most reliable things on the planet "drivel started with the ecology craze of the late 60s . Except they embraced VW , and they sucked , so it was on to a new car . Toyota and Datsun were novel , but datsun positioned alot of there cars as performance and raced , did not take with the ecology minded . No , there was one car that was embraced , as the singular greatest ever , yes , it was the HONDA CIVIC . Oh so intelligent , smartly styled , good on gas , CVCC was soooo advanced and clean , it did not even need a catlytic convertor ( loophole that was quickly closed ), why they even have a change holder and sunglass compartment . No Honda did not reinvent they wheel they actually still to this day build just a crappy a car as the next guy . they have just employed brilliant marketing personnel and ad agencies . It does not hurt to have an Anti American Anti Big Business media on your side . I bet you Honda ate up more automatic transmissions last year than the every model of GM cars combined!
  20. Viper has the 2- 5 cylinder engines exhaust tone . I never liked it . The Z06 pushes it around pretty good , past and present and future . I hope GM Blue Devils the new Viper - I would hate to have German American Hybrid car company to have the upper hand in production street cars .
  21. Funny 50% of the time OnStar says they can't find a code and 50% of the time OnStar says it's the gas cap , usually when it's not . But you didn't hear it from me .
  22. You set a P0440 . The usual service advisor suggestion is check to see your gas cap is tight . Since you didn't mention you got gas recently , you probably have a leak in your canister evap system . At the dealer , your system gets checked with pressure system and vacuum sys , then using a smoke machine we check for leaks . I do not recommend going to an independent shop for this ck engine light because they will just start changing parts until the light goes off , and the fact that the car doesn't test the evap sys all the time , this can get frustrating . Good luck
  23. You know , as an auto technician, I never thought an aircraft mechanic was a low skill job .
  24. I quote " The Tracker was a great car especially offroading in 4x4 but it was poorly marketed. " You are kidding , Right ? The Tracker was a leaker that seemed to be a favorite among lesbian dog owners and illegal aliens .
