Agreed re the XJR. As for the XF variants, I agree the lighter weight idea is great, but if the changes are a matter of engine electronics (software) changes, more variants won't mean much added cost or complexity.Sometimes it does... Best (and hardest) thing to do is to keep the brand's identities intact...It's most likely the volume equation that is screwing up the business case for those variants... Too bad...Given how ownership of brands has evolved since the mid-1980s, maybe a super-luxury SUV would fit Bentley better than Lamborghini over at the VW stable...Platform/Powertrain mule with a distorted C6 body on top? The camo would just hide any proportion changes that might still be visible despite the distorted C6 body...If they exist at all... Isettas once wore BMW badges, so doing something outside the fun-to-drive RWD cars isn't nothing the brand hasn't done before...
