  1. If I lived in AUS I'd get one when they're available and write a F-you letter to GM for killing the Commodore
  2. They have lots of Auris badges from here; they can just call the Auris its name: Auris
  3. In reply to the c-pillar comment above; it's Opel, not Nissan I think about when I see the Bolt... I see it coming to Europe as an Opel, just needs Opel-ized fascias...
  4. Would a 4-door Avista make a good Regal? Or could it be a Park Avenue instead?
  5. If it's priced like the MX-5, I might risk divorce and get one
  6. Make it rally-car like and it's a really cool thing to have
  7. What I read on the other GM forum was that the new Opel CUV (NG Opel Antara) was supposed to be the "Opel-ified" Envision, but it was apparently cancelled and sent back to the drawing board... I don't know if that means the US will skip this generation of the Envision, or if it will be imported from China just to add a few sales and have a presence in the segment until a NG appears...
  8. I really like the Mazda 2 (we get the hatch only over here), so I'm really surprised that Toyota could have uglyfied the car to this degree.....
  9. Great! current car is always a pleasant drive whenever I travel to Sweden and get one of those as my rental.
  10. Omega can eventually underpin the CT5 as it is able to support current CTS sized cars. However, that would mean Alpha can be profitable with 2 or 3 Cadillac models (sedan, coupe/convertible and a crossover or two) plus the Camaro. EDIT - was supposed to quote hyperv6 post #23 above but the quote button didn't work...
  11. Newer architecture vs the XTS/Lacrosse's older architecture.
  12. You mean Chinese Verano rear and with an Astra face?
  13. They'll keep a hold on the size, I think. The way I see it the only segment where they'll be sized between segments is at the upper range where Cadillac seems to have favoured a 2-car approach: CT6 versus SWB flagships and CT7 or CT8 against the LWB variants (and the S-Class specifically).
  14. I think the L version will stay a China-only model.
  15. 1st of all, a 6 points difference in scoring is basically immaterial. However, I think this shows where Cadillac needs to invest next now they nailed the engineering side of things
  16. JDN's point was exactly that: while overall volume might drop, ATPs and consequently unit margins will increase. Of course, some of that drop in will be recovered by the crossovers that will slot below and above the XT5 (people should not forget that Cadillac is losing a lot of sales in the CUV segment as they only have the SRX right now).
  17. I'd go for the Impala as I like the styling and also because the current LaCrosse is getting a bit old-looking...
  18. Agreed, oldshurst442. To me the order is S-Class; A8; 7-Series...
  19. Don't mind it being FWD-based (though I still think SAAB should have been bought by BMW to take this FWD-based market and serve as a bridge between the MINI and BMW brands). What I don'ty understand is why on Earth this is X1 while the other FWD-based models are badged as 2-Series, together with RWD 2-Series coupes and convertibles...How hard is it from a marketing and branding perspective to be coherent and offer the 1 names in FWD/AWD and have the 2+ names for the RWD models?
  20. White Tesla Model S, with Portuguese license plates. It's the 1st Tesla I've seen in Portugal.
