  1. Beautiful pup, and happy birthday.
  2. I've decided that I'm going to reserve all judgement on vehicles till I actually see them in either spy pictures, or on the dealer's lot.
  3. You know, I could build one of these, even bigger, with more barrels
  4. Yeah, tell me about it. There's really nothing in the world like having a kid that loves you and you love falling asleep, there's also no more a tedious task as to keep that child asleep when moving.
  5. Now THATS what I'm talking about! I really like the "traditional" regular cab, long bed combination.
  6. Well I figure it lets us (the parents) get back in touch with our more kid selves, for the kids, its just time for them to get to interact with their parents, which is just fun in itself. You know?
  7. You got that right PCS. It really isn't all as important as we think it is. Like right now I'm watching Heather crawl around on the floor, probably about to attack the piano, while chewing on her bib.
  8. Of course I don't like hearing, reading, or otherwise learning of the Impala going to the great nether-nether, but I still like the idea of having some good rear-drive cars coming out.
  9. I can't help that I'm a parts guy and a wrench spinner. Problems like this are my bread and butter (and also a pretty nice paycheck every week).
  10. Well guys, this morning I had one of those moments where I was about to pull my hair out, and then my little girl (now 1 year old) did just the thing to set my day perfectly all right. I was running late, Amy (the wife) was also running late, which meant I had to pull bath duty with squirt. I'm kinda cursing under my breath, and all in all griping about having to give her a bath when she looks up at me from the tub and points at me and says "Da da". After that I just kinda had to sit in the floor and everything didn't matter from there on.... I just sat there and played with her in her tub with a grin on her face, just watching her splash around and blabber this and that. I dunno about y'all, but I never thought that what seems like a relatively insignificant moment like that could have on your whole day. After that, nothing else mattered except that Heather was happy, and she knew that I was there with her, and it really just set up a great day, at work, when I got back home, everything. I guess I'm trying to say that a Dad moment like that is something I've overlooked and as I sit here and enter this, I just realized how great those moments are, and how precious time is with those you love.
  11. I know, I was just having fun at my own expense. Although anytime you have trouble cranking it, always suspect the battery first, at least that's my normal trouble tree deal. I start with the most inexpensive thing, in this case, the battery and have it tested and go from there.
  12. Straightening a frame is relatively easy, doing it accurately is a whole different story.
  13. Yeah, that's the downside with the fuel gauge. Rarely ever do I use it. Admittedly I keep an eye on it but as far as calculating the mileage, the odometer and how much fuel goes back into it at a fill-up tells me all I need to know.
  14. I'd love to see a lot of older powerplants, be they nuclear, coal, CNG, or hydro-electric, get rebuilt and upgraded instead of just out and out building new. Sure you're going to need to completely replace a plant here and a plant there, but woudln't upgrading the equipment inside be a little more feasible than breaking new ground somewhere else for a plant?
  15. You know, I've actually broken someone with a Hotel on Baltic....and won the game that way.
  16. I'll have to remember this and listen in Cort.
  17. A Ute would be great....it would also be my perfect excuse for buying something new that isn't a truck (since my next purchase is a 90% certainty of being a truck whilst the wife goes with a CUV)
  18. LOL....that one made me laugh hard enough to wake up the little one....and its midnight...
  19. quite possibly, I'm not really a Mac person....had to use them a lot in high school and they have their strong points, I just didn't like them, kinda like my personal preference to GM and nothing else.
  20. I heard the rumor about this on Rick & Bubba this morning on the drive to work. It sounds like it'll be a great little piece of equipment for those who want it.
  21. I don't necessarily want every single car that GM builds to be off Zeta, FWD cars like the Malibu (which I have test driven, albeit without the 3.6, and yes, it is an excellent drive) have their place. I'm also excited about the Volt, I really want to see a product like that running down the road, it'll be inovative, and like you've said, people actually WANT to buy it. I just wish that the V8 RWD platform could come back into prevalance as in the past. I know that the likelyhood of that ever happening is low, but that's what hoping and dreaming is about, the possibilities.
  22. All right then 14s...I honestly wasn't sure which size it was, but 15 is a fairly common size on a lot of GM's stuff, so I went with the more common denomitator.
  23. You know....it would be cool to see something like a '73-'87 running around with...I dunno, either a Duramax, or a Cat diesel in it....
  24. I see lots...unfortunately most of them are running around with poor sounding dual exhausts pumping out lots of blue "gotta get the heads reworked" smoke riding on wheels MUCH larger than the stock 15s.
  25. I remember that episode. Also the van paint job is AWESOME!!!!
